Love these cases, every iPad in the house has one of these.We don’t tend to use the stand part unless we’re taking it out of the house.Also since our last purchase they have dropped the retail packaging so now it just arrived in a plastic bag- which is surely worse than a plain cardboard box which could be recycled? Also makes it a rubbish gifting experience which is what we’re doing. So not happy about that change.

This is a great case for protection, no question. It’s not cheap, but I don’t expect to have to replace it during the lifespan of the iPad, and although black is not a terribly exciting colour, it does at least eliminate the likelihood of discolouration.The case only comes in a plastic bag, which is fine by me and cuts down on unnecessary packaging.The screen protector is integral to the case, the fingerprint sensor still works through it.The case comes with an additional cover that can be used as a stand for the iPad, either in portrait or landscape (2 options of angle) or used to cover the front of the iPad. However, this is not attached to the case itself unless clipped on, so I could see it being put down somewhere and forgotten about.The main detractor is that the case is really heavy, even without the cover/stand. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend it if you are using the iPad to take out and about/take photos etc. But for drop protection around the home, I’d say this is second to none.

I first started using Otter Box on my phone around 2010 (approx). I worked as an outdoor instructor and constantly dropped my phone in the woods and down rocks. The case always protected my phone and I never had any damaged whilst using the case. Back then the case was somewhat chunky and made an iPhone about 20mm think. As time when on my need for a waterproof case increase, whilst spending more time teaching kids to canoe and kayak. I moved to life proof cases which met my drop and waterproof requirements. In more recent times Otter Box and Lifeproof joined forces and this case is a good combination of both products.This case is the same style case as the original Otter Box being a snap together case surround the iPad with a rubber shock protector that goes around the whole back and sides and protrudes beyond the screen to protect it. It has a lifeproof feel (although not waterproof) to the case and the slim and finesse elements make this case in my opinion a fantastic option. With the additional front cover which doubles as a stand for the iPad I can say I’m supper happy and the case is worth every penny, especially this version which is cheaper due to having eco packing.People often say to my that these cases cost to much but when you consider you just spend a minimum of £330 it’s totally worth it for a case that’s going to protect your products. My two year old drop the iPad today from a chair onto a tile floor it wasn’t a problem for the case whatsoever. I’ve always found their customer service great to and if a case has degraded before a year I’ve received a replacement.

The otterbox gives great protection for my iPad, and the outside cover gives brilliant protection to the screen when not in use , also when it is being used the cover acts as a rest with two angles to choose from when viewing.

Otter box , they are not the cheapest of cases but then look at the tablet of what you are putting inside . Theses are top quality products and worth every penny. If you got kids they are a great choice as they always seam to land up on the floor
