PH315-51-78NP
Perfect replacement for the PH315-51-78NP OEM fans. Even though they do not seem as good as the originals because the blades are plastic, I noticed no difference in their ability to regulate the temperatures of my Predator.They may appear too small in your hand, but they are the correct size.

Watch a video on your laptop install FIRST
I tried to crack the case open and was unsuccessful, THEN i watched a video and found the secret to unsnapping the perimeter. The project is really simple and in just a few minutes I had both fans replaced in my Acer Predator Gaming Laptop. Usually it is a dust problem that stops the fans, in my case Im not sure why one failed completely and the other was barely turning. Most likely bearings bad. No matter, Note: it will help to have magnetic phillips screwdrivers in two sizes, one being really small for the hdd screws.

In case you were wondering, no, it isn't compatible with a Predator Helios 300 Series PH317-54 laptop.

Perfect fit
Replaced my GPU fan on my Predator 315-15. The install was easy and it fit no problem. The laptop doesn't seem to be any louder than before. GPU temps went down about 20°C since the stock fan wasn't spinning. Will update if anything changes.

Works, but runs HOT
These fans cause the Helios to run about 6-8 degrees Celsius hotter at load. You CANNOT play games at the same frame rate and graphics settings. For instance, Doom was running at 92 on this, with OEM fans it ran at 84. Borderlands 3 was 91 with these and 85 with OEM.They ARE quieter. If volume is the reason, and you don’t do heavy gaming, then these will work.

Not a perfect fit for N17C1
My brother has an Asus N17C1 and needed a replacement fan. I ordered this for him as it was labeled as a direct replacement. It bolted in properly but I missed looking at the second picture in the listing. The fan does not have a cover on one side, while the original does. We had to peel off the cover from the original fan and tape it to the new one. Fan works fine, but not an exact fit for this model.
