Love!
Love love love this tool. It is great for trimming but I also like to use it to remove extra clay from the bottom of my pieces while still on the wheel. It takes a minute to get used to if you’ve only used the standard tools they provide in beginners classes, but well worth the $$s

Versatile, fast, and a bit unforgiving
This has become my go to tool for trimming. The many cutting surfaces give you a lot of options, and it is convenient to just flip it around rather than putting a tool down and picking up another. It cuts quickly, but perhaps its speedy cuts makes it sometimes a bit unforgiving. I probably wouldn't recommend it as a beginner's first tool.It sheds clay shavings neatly; better than wire tools, except if the clay is very wet. But then the clay is probably too wet to trim well anyway. It doesn't feel quite as nice in the hand as a wooden handle. That is to be expected. Some reviewers have complained about rust. I haven't seen any rust yet, but I do live in a very dry climate.

Bit of a learning Curve but so good when you learn how to use it.
I've been doing ceramics for about 8 years and the whole time ive been using the loop trimming tool to do my trimming. The ones at my studio got a bit dull and so I decided to give this a go. It's a great tool but because of becoming so used to the other tools I used learning to use it was different. It wasn't hard but just gripping it was new to me and also learning which sides to use was a bit experimental for a bit. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience and I didn't mess up any pieces but I just think it takes a while to learn how to use it efficiently. Once you do tho its a fantastic tool and you can trim way better with it than I could with the loop tools and its all in one so you don't have to use multiple loop tools, this one does it all.

Cool Little Tool
I'm new to pottery, but this tool just looked cool and I had to have it. It took me a few uses to get it down. Apparently a pro tip if you are having some issues is to hold it closer to the end so you have better control. That's what ended up helping me. It is fun to use and works well. It holds up fairly well, but like anything, clay has some grit in it so it is going to end up wearing the tool down. After just one use it will take the color off, but it will take awhile before it really gets it to a point where you can no longer use it.

Nice tool
Nice tool. A little clumsy. Took awhile to get used to it. I don’t use it that often.

I have to learn how to use it
I have to learn how to use it but when I do I think it could be very useful. I found that it has a coating to protect it. I tried to sharpen it with a file to get rid of the chatter. I am not sure how to best sharpen the curved side. I will work on that more with my file. When trimming the pots with this tool, it works best if I revers the direction of the wheel from when I made the pot. If anyone knows of a better way to sharpen this tool, please let me know.

awesome
this is a great item. just get it. i did not think for one moment it would get so darn much use, but i was wrong. its super handy. i dont know how long it will last but i assume it will go for a very long time, as long as i take proper care of it and dont step on it. but for now, i am making great looking feet.

Wow!
This is a very nicely designed tool. I have several different trimming tools and this one stands out in its feel in the hand. I have been experimenting with the different angles and it does a great job trimming refined feet on mugs and small bowls. At some angles you can get “chattering”, if that is something you are looking for. This is destined to become one of my favorite tools.
