Awesome knives
I found Dalstrong by accident while looking for a pizza cutter. I fell in love with the brand that I am going to be replacing my current knives with the brand. The knives are weighted and balanced. They fit well in the hand. They are very sharp- I was able to shave my towel while drying them. The blades are thicker than most knives. I expect that there will be very little difficulty cutting anything with them. The included plastic sheaths are pretty robust and they are designed with a positive lock feel to them- push the knife all the way in and you’ll feel it lock in place. The only problem is the blades are bigger and thicker than most standard knives- so they won’t fit into most common knife blocks.Sure- they’re a little more expensive but they are worth the investment.I highly recommend buying these.

Awesome knives for the price!
I ordered two of these sets to replace our well-worn set of Cutco table knives which sell for about $45 each, a price I wasn't willing to pay. I was looking for reasonably high-quality knives with serrated blades and rounded tips like the Cutcos, and the reviews I read for these Dalstrong knives were mostly very favorable. These are substantially larger than our old knives (the blades are nearly twice the length of the Cutcos - see photo) but thankfully they still fit in the steak knife slots of our existing knife block. They are quite attractive, very comfortable to handle and slice through thick steaks and chicken breasts cleanly, at least when new (we've only used them 4 or 5 times so far). They appear to be very well made but time will tell how well they age, I'll update this review if there are any quality issues. The handles are Pakkawood, a wood & plastic composite that generally stands up well to wear and moisture. The enclosed documentation claims these knives are sufficiently robust to clean in the dishwasher, but I have no plans to test that assertion. They're very easy to clean with a damp microfiber cloth. The packaging and marketing for these knives is a little over the top, in my opinion -- will many customers actually use the little individual sheaths they provide for each blade? And "Gladiator Series"?? (perhaps this will scare off any lions about to threaten the kitchen) But otherwise I'm very happy with them so far.

These are damn good knives and worth more than their price.
I don't write many reviews for products I purchase, I've grown tired of every transaction we make today requiring a review or a survey. However, I'm making an exception for these exceptional products. These are the best steak knives I've ever used at home or in a restaurant. They have a great weight about them and feel substantial. The cut easily and you don't have to carve your meat, they simply, and beautifully cuts. The knives all come with sheathes which one might say, "what's the point of those?" Well the point is that they preserve your blades.I purchased two sets of these steak knives and I feel great knowing that this is a lifetime purchase. I believe that they are that well made and they are that attractive. For those big dinners when you want to use the good stuff or you need extra knives, these will not embarrass you, rather they will impress your guests.I previously purchased a Ham carving knife from Dalstrong that I've used several times on brisket and again it's a beautiful product in appreamce and performance.I fully intend to purchase a complete set of their knives because the quality is that good and the price is actually very low for the quality of performance and craftsmanship of their products. If you ever need a customer to beta test your knives (and why would they need people to test drive knives?) count me in!

Quality and comfortable to use
I was a little skeptical about purchasing these knives at the price. I went ahead and finally purchased these knives. I am so glad I did! These knives are worth the small investment.1. Easy to hold - the knives are very well balanced and the handle has the right size and shape to easily hold and use. My family and I have used these for a couple of weeks now and I can say that there isn't any fatigue or effort in cutting into steaks, chicken and pork chops.2. The knives arrived well packaged and in a very nice box along with a pin that makes this a very affordable gift for any occasion, like weddings or house warming. They also come in their own sheaths. Not paper sheaths but nicely made and fitting sheaths made of something like plastic. They each have a spot in the nice box that they came in.3. These are nice knives and I will not be throwing them into the dishwasher. I have been cleaning them by hand and they are easily cleaned. The sheaths protect the blades from damage and dirt. They also protect my hands which is a big plus when reaching in the drawer for them.Overall, these are a very nice set of knives that are extremely sharp. The blades will need to be sharpened after some use, but they are still sharp after about 10 uses at dinner, cutting easily through steaks, chicken and pork chops. I even used one to prep since I was too lazy to sharpen my other knives at the time. The ridges in the blades do what they are supposed to. The meat doesn't stick to the blades even during prepping raw meat.I will buy more Dalstrong knives with confidence going forward and am even thinking about the carving knife in the same series.
