I bought the LMC Products Wooden Lacing Beads & Strings set for my autistic son, and it has been an excellent tool for him. The variety of beads and strings is engaging, and the activity helps him develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.The beads are well-crafted and easy for him to handle, making the lacing process enjoyable and effective. It’s also a great occupational therapy aid, allowing him to practice dexterity and concentration in a fun way.Overall, this set has been a wonderful addition to his playtime, offering both educational benefits and enjoyment. We have twin 3 year old Granddaughters so when we have them at our home we are always looking for something that will not only entertain then for longer periods of time, but also help with motor skills, colors, shapes and more. We bought 2 sets of these and to our surprise the girls sat for over an hour and laced the beads up, then un-did the beads, and re-did them over and over. We usually get about an half hour of them concentrating on one project before they move on, but with these Lacing Beads, they played longer than anything else we have found. They would lace them first with random colors, then with all the colors grouped, then 2 by 2, 3 by 3 and so on. As long as we could come up with different ways for them to do it, they remained interested and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Later that evening they went back to them and we got another hour and a half of their time. This is a great product not only for learning, but toddler's also find them to be fun to play with. We are so pleased to have found this product and I have recommended this to several others. We would certainly buy them again.

Well made. Suited for our 3 year old granddaughter

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old grand daughter as part of her toy collection kept at my house. It really is a great set but there are some things you might need to do to get it ready for use. As I read others wrote, the holes in some (most actually) of the bead holes have fragments left behind from drilling or painting that the cords get caught on when stringing them through the beads. I used a drill bit about the same size as the existing holes and cleaned each one out to help ease that. I did it by hand, not with the powered drill, which helped a lot but not 100%. The beads were much more usable then and this resolved the problem for the most part. The only other issue (no fault of the toy or manufacturer) I didn't notice until my grand daughter tried stringing the beads onto the cord is the rigid tips on the ends of the cord aren't quite long enough to poke through the bead entirely to easily grab on the exit side for 2&1/2 year old fingers (which may be one of the reasons this is rated for 3 years old and older.) She quickly lost interest and moved onto other toys. I ended up wrapping scotch tape at the ends of each cord to extend and lengthen the rigid ends in hopes of easing a little of her frustration the next time she tries to play with it. Otherwise she did enjoy dumping the blocks out and dropping them back into the storage tub over and over. I'm satisfied with this purchase and would still recommend it.

I'm giving these as a gift to my 4 year old grandson. I'm sure he will love them, provided they lace up easily, unlike several reviews that commented that they don't. The main thing I can see after receiving them, is that a very small toddler that still puts things in their mouth, could possible choke on them, as some of them are smaller in size than others. Otherwise until he gets them and plays with them, I wont know about the paint chipping off. The colors are vibrant, and you CAN tell them apart on the ones I purchased. Plus, it appears to have several stings for lacing included. I can see through the container and it looks like at least one of each color. The other thing I'd like to comment on is how they arrived at our house. They were dumped out all over the box they came in, that included other purchases. After picking them all up and placing in the container, I tried to put the lid on, and it seems too large for the container. It would NOT screw on. This is a storage container and NEEDS to fit, so I'm returning it in hopes the one I reorder fits properly!!
