Impressive underwater camera with a few set up niggles swiftly sorted
The media could not be loaded. After much searching and review reading I settled on this Barlus camera. The picture is crisp and clear and the reproduction of underwater colours is accurate. As others have mentioned, not just plug and play, at least with my NVR, but help from China was fast, sometimes on the same day, which given the 8hours difference was impressive. My problem was setting the parameters for Onvif or IP cameras as as it wanted to follow Hikvision protocol with its own port number. All this was explained and some of it remotely configured for me. The footage shown was recorded on the iPad from the TV so not up to original quality but still good enough for review purposes I think. Clear water obviously helps and much moving of the camera to get the best views but even with good water the infra red was not of much use at night. Somehow I did manage to switch of the infra red mode on one of many configuration utilities I was trying but was told this was not possible! However with pond lights already installed this gives a usable night time image which is far better than the infra red mode. Altogether a hefty, well made camera with good support from the manufacturers should you require it.

Need an underwatercamera? You found it!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for an underwater I.P. camera. The plan is to observe the fish underwater accross the river. The camera is offcourse underwater.Than the cable is connected to a point to point router, that is above the water. On my side of the river i have another point to point router that i connect with my NVR/laptop.That way i can see and record what kind of fish are swimming at this part of the river.De river is the river Lot in France. The water is very clear, so i think the images will be very good to.When i got the camera i was happy to see that this camera is pure quallity.I have seen and looked for many other underwater camera's, but NONE of them looked like this one.The material looks great and feel like they will last a life time.Included in the box there was an USB drive. On that drive were several manuals for installing and operating this I.P. camera. The manuals lead you through the install of the camera step by step. They even made pictures of the steps you have to make, and they put all the steps in the right order,so just start with step 1 and contineu to the last one.I need the manual for Windows and Android, but also the manual for Apple equipment is providedon the USB drive. Also there are many tips on the drive, and some links to download the latest drivers for the camera software.Als i was assured by the seller that if i had any qeustion about the camera or the software, they would gladly help me out.I allready was in contact with the seller, and the response was within 24 hours. Now THAT is what i call service.Due to too little time i only have tested the cam view above the water, and i am very happy with the quallity.Soon i will try the whole set up, and if i need help, than i know how to reach this seller. ๐And do i recommend this I.P. camera and this seller????Oh yeah! 2 x 100% ๐๐๐Edit 21-03-2021.Yes, i have it all figured out, and it works great. With 2 Mikrotiks, a NVR and a monitor i can see what is in front of the camera that i placed over 100 meters distance!!!Fantastic!!!! Thank you again seller. Great product! :)

Ridiculously difficult to set up
Ridiculously difficult to connect to a PC, the instructions are appalling and not understandable in English and I'm computer literate! I just wish I hadn't bothered!

Great gift idea for those with a pond
The media could not be loaded. Bought this as a gift to my Dad who is extremely excited to be able to have an underwater camera in his garden pond. The product looks and feels high quality. The camera itself is stainless steel and feels really robust. The instructions manuals are clear and I'm looking forward to setting this up.I intend to update my review after installation.Included in the package was:Camera and 10m leadPower cableUSB driveUser manualWarranty card

Good but has drawbacks
Not at all easy to setup. Setup instructions are part badly written, part misleading and part just plain wrong. I think I got a "previously returned" product which didn't help. Eventually got working and good quality image, but don't expect this camera to work like other, modern webcams that are plug-and-play.

The best underwater cameras!
I have been using these in my outdoor pond for around a year through every season now and they have been running flawlessly. Just lift them out of the water every now and then to clean the lens from any build up.

Excellent product and service
This was purchased as a birthday from my wife. Was really pleased with it great picture and video bit jerky in HD when not on home network but nice and smooth in SD. Had a problem with not being able to view recently but even tho it is now out of warranty they were really helpful and am now able to view again. Would definitely recommend this product and the seller

2 out of 3 of my Barlus Cameras have FAILED
Great SS housing - but that's it.. internal camera and NIC are poor quality, now way to up date firmware and the software is terrible... I'm going remove the junk and install Hikvision cams in the housings

Great picture quality, great tech support.
The media could not be loaded. Perfect for my 150 gallon stock tank turtle pond. Great picture quality. Software is tricky to learn but eventually I figured it out with help from their excellent tech support staff.

Very poor interface, difficult setup, poor overlay quality
I loved this this camera supported ONVIF and is waterproof and was very excited to purchase it with a Prime Day discount. Unfortunately, the interface feels like it was built 30 years ago and never updated. The software license was not even written in English. I know that many just click and go but you never know what they put in the license when you can't read it. They could say the software is loaded with malware and root kits and you accept that fact.Once I did get it setup, the overlay for the time, date, and camera name were so poor, they were not even readable.I ended up sending this back.

Great picture and a solid underwater camera.
The media could not be loaded. First of all, this is a quality camera with good construction and a great picture. There is not a lot in the box, but the box is sturdy and you can use it as a carrying case to move and store the camera. It comes with a solid camera and 5 meters of cord which is around 15 feet. There is some discrepancy on the listing it says 1440P in the listing and 4 MP, but in the description it says 1080p and 5MP. if I had to guess its 5MP and 1080P, but regardless the picture is flawless. I did not test it underwater, but inside my house it was as good as or better than any of my indoor or outdoor cameras. It is a little expensive, but its rated IP68, so it should be good from 1 to 5 meters or so. The construction is top notch and the camera has a heavy feel to it. It also comes with sturdy mounting screws. The casing is stainless steel and is fog free and durable. I got this to put in my pool as sort of a cool thing to show people, but this can be used in a variety of means, such as Koi ponds or general observation. The USB drive with the manuals on it are fantastic. It also had videos on how to set it up. My only issue is that I guess because its a Chinese product there is no sound on the video, so you really have to pay attention. I spent some time rewinding it to get it setup up. I wont say setup is really easy, but if you have some LAN and computer knowledge its not difficult.Make sure during setup you click allow network otherwise it wont show you the IP address, also make sure they are plugged into the same network. I have a few networks setup and forgot that. There are several ways to set this up and it includes POE, which if you have a switch that utilizes POE then you don't need the power cord. I do not, but I might get one for this. POE is essentially Power over Ethernet, which turns your Ethernet cord into a power cord as well.Overall this was semi-easy to setup for someone knowledgeable, but I could see this being hard for a computer novice. they do have support. The picture quality was fantastic and its a great camera for your underwater needs.

Great tech support
I bought two underwater cameras for my koi ponds. I wish they came with better instructions but couldn't get them configured right. However, tech support was great. They very patient and responsive and got each of the cameras up and running in about half an hour. The cameras themselves are very solid. While there is night vision, the cameras in the daytime really make the koi look good! Because the camera is underwater, the glass cover needs to be wiped down frequently. Otherwise, the video feed will be blurry. Overall, it is cool to see my koi from underwater...and the phone app works great too because I can check out my koi, live, from anywhere I have Internet access!
