I am planning to reread every few months
I suffer from depression and low self esteem. My voice is low and my back is hunched metaphorically speaking. I really love how this book used fictional characters to apply the strategies mentioned in the and then for you to apply them yourself. I like the journal prompts . I have a lot of work to do on myself but with this book I feel positive about my growth.

Gentle, empowering prose written for women
This book is everything the title says and more. Leslie has masterfully educated, motivated , and empowered women to be their best selves in less than 200 pages. Personally and professionally, she spoke right to my heart. It was everything I needed to hear and more. Her use of real life examples gives the reader a simple and direct way to understand the tools and strategies outlined throughout the book. The resources she shares at the end are invaluable and easily accessible. I have no doubt, we will witness many more important works from Mrs. Herhold. What a blessing for women everywhere!

Practical common sense tools to aid in building self confidence. A wonderful, well-written book to share with the women and young ladies in your life...always room for helpful easily adaptable strategies. Leslie has done a great job sharing her talent and expertise! Definitely recommend 👍🏻

In Self-Confidence Strategies for Women, Leslie Theriot Herhold discusses what affects a woman’s confidence and offers practical ways to help her boost her confidence levels.Herhold focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy techniques to improve one’s self-confidence. She helps you understand how to set up achievable goals, and gives you strategies to implement them.I am especially appreciative of the Strategies Section, where she gives you strategies and then discusses practices to put them in place. In the end she talks about long term goals and how to plan for setbacks, I think this is something that is missing from a lot of self-help books.Some people may need more details on the various strategies and how to implement them, there are numerous books that go in-depth on these, but this is an excellent book to get started. I appreciate how compact the knowledge in this book is and how easy it is to read.I think this book can be very helpful to women who struggle with confidence issues, it doesn’t just discuss what effects a person’s self-confidence, but also gives steps to help boost it.

The basics of self-confidence
My teen daughter is in that stage between teen and adulthood. Every stage of life obviously has its ups and downs. I thought this book would be a nice tool for her to have as she goes off to college.The author is a social worker and therapist. She uses positive self talk, goals, and journaling throughout the book. She does a nice job to break up the book in a user-friendly format. I always talk to my daughter about having a toolbox of coping skills. I see this book as a tool for her confidence toolbox. Many of the topics are well-known, so it's a nice beginner book.I appreciate the time the author has put into developing a book for women. While I bought it for my daughter it could be for a women of any age. It’s an easy read, but contains mountains of concepts.
