Pirouette like the pros in our stretch canvas Pirouette II shoe. The half sole design offers the best of both worlds. Ultra soft canvas hugs the forefoot while the open heel provides much needed breathability. Elastics around the sides and under the arch of the foot keep you stable while turning non-stop. Capezio logo on ballet-style sole patch adds an exclusive touch. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

i’m a turner now
i was always a leaper when it came to dance but with these half soles on i cannot stop turning i love turning so much to say i hated turning before is an understatement its slippery enough to turn but not slippery enough to fall so much better than jazz shoes but u cant rlly compare the 2 like that iykwim when i turn with these on i feel like a figure skater turning on ice 50 thousand times i feel like i can break sophia lucia’s world record of turns thank you.

Love love love!!!
My daughter loves these for dance competitions, they work so well, giving the heel to grip the floor and the canvas to turn…The canvas half sole is definitely more slippery with the bottom being more ballet shoe sole, while a leather half sole has a jazz shoe type of sole :)

Still usable after 12 months
Size is accurate. Dances 3 x a wee k and still usable after 10 months. Quality is good and has held up. Ballet shoes always take a hit but these have held up . Will be rebuying soon.Color fits in dress code and thickness gives protection while still allowing for ability to feel the floor. Washed once by mistake in wager and they survived but don’t believe it’s recommended.

AMAZINGG TURNERS
Loveee these turners so much! I usually fall out of my turns in seconds and can only do 3 on a good day but recently I’ve been doing like 6 consistently! Like my turns gotten so much better that I was used as a demonstration for my class! Also the elastic bands are really stretchy and durable. They don’t slip at all when I try to do toe rises! I would say this is the best turned I used to far and it’s good quality for the price.
