Lumisource LS-MIR MADNESS Energy Saving Mirror Disco Ball Strobe

I bought this on a whim and took it to a camping trip. The light was bright enough that we hung it inside of our large 12-man cabin tent and it turned the tent into an art piece. I later took it to a couple of parties and it was a huge hit. There is a little handle on the back that allows you to attach it to just about anything with string or cable ties. The LED lights are a lot brighter than I expected them to be. You aren't going to be able to light up a large room, but it worked great at the end of a hallway and over the front door at a party. I bought a second one for a friend.

This is a really fun disco ball. It lights up a moderately-sized room but obviously isn't like the big ones in clubs. But it really puts out a lot of light for its size. Also I just found out there's a hook on the bottom and you can hang it from the ceiling if you want to...We've had ours since February and it's still going strong half a year later. A great party gift!!It has a built-in switch so you can turn it on and off, and since the lights are LED's you never have to worry about them burning out.BURN BABY BURN, DISCO INFERRRRRNOOOOOOOK sorry got a little carried away!Highly recommended. I very hesitantly ordered two of these disco lights: one for me, and one for my sister.I foolishly read the reviews after I had ordered and the lights had shipped.However, what a surprise that both work exactly as described.I'm not sure why but there was two different types of packaging that arrived too. But that's not a big deal as both seemed packed securely in their styrofoam containers.When I plugged mine in, it took a minute for the ball to start turning the first time I used it, but turn it does.No complaints from my sister or me.It should be noted that this is cheaply made and I don't think they'll last for a long time. But so far, so good!Also due to the size, usage in a small room is best or you won't notice the effect well.I have a mirror on one side of mine adding to the sparkle and amazement.My Bernese Mountain Dog is slightly fearful of it, but he's also afraid of shopping bags.I'm adding a photo of how cool it looks lighting up a small room.

Broken upon receipt inside undamaged box, like so many others have experienced with this poorly made and handled product. The silent tear dropping down the face of the child for whom this item was to replace a much loved but broken Christmas present was heart breaking. Cool if and while it isn't broken, I would strongly urge you to NOT BUT THIS CHEAP POS.UPDATE: Stupidly, ordered a replacement, hoping for something better. I'm an idiot. Text of email to seller below:I ordered a replacement that arrived today. Am I a glutton for punishment and children's tears? Apparently, I am. This one arrived. I opened the box before giving it to my child and all looked good, without having taken it completely out of the packaging. Taped it up, wrote a nice note on it from Santa's elves who apologized profusely for the shoddy workmanship of the last two that they gave to my child. Fast forward - child opens it up, looks great UNTIL we take it out of the styrofoam only to find what? A well functioning, intact, albeit incredibly poorly made disco ball? OF COURSE NOT, we find a base with two attached pinlights (well, that's an improvement, at least) and a disco ball completely detached from the base. COME ON PEOPLE. THIS PRODUCT SUCKS. ZERO FOR TWO WITHIN THREE DAYS. I give up. This product sucks. woe be unto anyone stupid enough to actually order it, especially after I paste this email into a review. I give up. Finding a quality product that might, what a concept, ship whole. Furious. Frustrated. Bad father for making my child go through this twice in three days. I blame you and the crappy products you sell.

This product is ok. One of the side lamps broke as I was carefully removing the base from the foam. It didn't take much to break it, however, it was very easy to fix by putting some black tape over it, so no big deal. The second lamp broke soon after, so expect it to break fast. The disco ball does its job. It's not very bright, but will do for an average room. It rotates a bit slow, but it's sufficient. Kids and adults liked it, I used it for a 70's party and I stood it as is on a kitchen counter (I didn't hang it upside down from the ceiling). I would say the quality is questionable, I would look around for other similar products. I wouldn't buy it again, but now that I have it, I will definitely use it.

I ordered 3 of these for a large room for a disco birthday party I had... they added a lot of ambiance... not super powerful, but really do add a lot of color and interest to the decor for a really good price point. They light up a decent area. I put 2 on the DJ table, and one one my mantle . I found it to be a great way to decorate and have good color for not much $$. Combined with the Metallic Silver Foil Fringe curtains I put up, they helped reflect some of the colors and added to it.

Bought as a fun way to celebrate successes at work meetings. We use it to "share the spotlight". It makes everyone smile. Works great and is just big enough. The ball turns and the lights make it sparkle. Great for a small room. Plugs in to the wall (does not use batteries) It was also packed very well for shipping. May not last forever, but for the price with free Prime shipping, it was worth it!
