Impressive
Very nice kit went together quick no real problems the only thing that disappointed me missing 1 bearing for the diffs but it was taken care of by Amazon and I happen to have a spare bearing from another car kit overall it's pretty good.To tell you the truth this car is really really good it's got some really nice features and it's fully adjustable I've managed to finish the kit from everything I can get through Amazon and for an RC car put together from everything that Amazon sells it's quite the quick little beastie if I could give it more stars I would I'm very happy with it.Part 2 of my amazon rc car build its going great car ran its first club race 3rd place not bad

A poor buy
I've built and raced about 10 different car in the past and recently gotten back into the hobby. I finished an Associated t6.2 and decided to grab this. From step 2 in the manual, I knew it was going to be problematic. No motor mounts included. I figured, okay I'll order one, let's keep going. The parts are low quality materials, machined poorly, and fit is less than good.I strongly recommend to anyone in the market to stick to a quality company like Losing or Associated. After years working with them, I've never been disappointed.

Also had a bad experiance - needs more quality controle Spec
First off, I've been in the RC game for decades and have built many models, far prefer building model kits as opposed to RTR and was getting kind of tired of Tamiya RC kits with too much plastic involved, so I tried out this Spec-R S1. Before I continue I will add that this is Spec-R RC's base / cheapest model RC car.Having already gone thorough my own experience and now reading the few reviews on this, I had the exact same issues and then some. After completing most of the kit and having QA problems with the same melted bumper support, having a ball end suspension screw snap in half, and missing the same bearing form the differential, I finally got to the shocks and they were totally useless where the top cap slid down over the plastic threads making it impossible to seal the shock oil or even attach the shocks to the RC. I had my own extra TC shocks so I once again looked passed another quality issue but contacted the seller as I was about fed up with the picture coming into focus. After I had the RC setup I ran it in my carpeted garage for a few seconds where suddenly the front drive shaft spool broke into pieces. The rear drive spools are made of metal but the front are plastic.....why? This TC is all wheel drive so the same force is sent to the front that's sent to the rear differential? I was even considering looking past that issue but couldn't find metal replacement parts for the front drive spool, so this 6+ hour headache was eventually returned. I move onto another Amazon TC rolling chassis with carbon fiber frame and all aluminum alloy construct for only $30 more and it was a great recovery from this highly suspect Spec-R kit. This RC has some good features but the parts are too cheap and the quality control is nonexistent, so even for the low price you're still getting what you paid for in a RC that can handle very little and needs a lot of additional tinkering and parts to even become drive-able.

Not bad but flaws
Overall for the price not bad but spec are needs to do better quality control for shocks and also labeling the bags mine was not labeled so it was hard to build. Shocks was damaged and did not tighten up during assembly Amazon is fixing issue

Good product
Good product. I think it should at least come with tires for the price we pay for it. but once it is built it is a great car

Very good for the price.
Mine came new and almost all assembled and was assembled great. Came with extras as well and is a good build. I set mine up as a drifter and works great.

missing parts!!!
came with no drive gear assembly and the part to hold the diffs in and adjust the belt tightness is all missing, the steering assembly is also missing. bought another on because I was hoping the parts would be in there didn't ship yet so not sure if there in there or not. Quality control sucks. at least my bumper mounts are not melted. The pieces I'm missing are: spr-R1P312 x4 spr-R1P311 x2.
