I followed the directions and this worked very well. It helped for me to put them on a scale to not overfill. I put them in the refrigerator prior to filling, did not have room in the freezer as suggested. It is important to just barely open the large tank and use the red handle to regulate the filling of the bottle. It ended up being $1.25 per bottle instead of $6 or $7

It was easy to install and use. The connection seems to be well sealed. Be mindful of the direction of the shut-off lever. When it is in line (parallel) with the hose, it's on -- perpendicular to the hose is off. You will likely not get a full 1lb in one shot. You will have to do a repeat of fill, unscrew the bottle, release some pressure, then reconnect and fill. Do this a few times to get it to eventually get to 1lb. The first fill, I was able to get around 7-8 ounces.There is no sensor to stop the refill. It stops because the pressure "equalized" between the two tanks.It is helpful to have a scale. I reset my scale to zero with an empty bottle, so it's easy to know how many ounces I have filled up. If your scale does not have a zero (or tare) function, you can do a total weight -- remember that your particular bottle may start out with different weight.Be careful after you are done and start to disconnect from the main tank, especially if you turn your main tank upside down to refill your bottle. After you shut off the valve on the main tank, open up the shut-off lever at the end where you connect to the bottle. There will be what seems to be a lot of gas escaping, since there are a lot of pressure left in the hose. Don't try to disconnect the hose from the tank without relieving the hose pressure, because the escaping gas can be very cold.

I really like this setup because it has the on/off valve at the end where you attach the 1 lb bottles you are refilling. This has proven very handy, not having to constantly tip the tank to open the valve, once you have attached the hose and flipped it upside down to do the re-filling of the 1 lb bottles. Just attach the hose, make sure the valve at the other end is in the off position, turn the big tank upside down, and then attach your bottles, and use the valve at that end of the hose to fill and then shut off the flow. I suggest watching a couple of videos about how to use hoses like this to refill your 1 lb propane bottles, before attempting to do this yourself, and also, never ever do this in an enclosed space. Always do it outside, and away from everything.

I was able to refill to 10oz. The key to being able to transfer the propane is the temperature difference between the source tank and the 1lb cylinder is vital. The bigger the difference the more will flow! You might have to remove the partially filled cylinder and put it back in the freezer.The longer hose really give you options in placing the two tanks and the shut off valve on the hose is a necessityUse a kitchen scale and measure the actual weight as you fill it. When it stops getting heavier remove and put in freezer then reconnect to add more. I had to do this two timesI would purchase again.

Easy to use! East to follow directions! Perfect for reusing the 1lb Coleman tanks!

Looks like good quality, but have not used it yet.May post another review after a couple of uses.
