Q: Can I keep the snails with goldfish? Puffer fish mentioned several times and thought they were salt water fish?

You can keep them with goldfish although I choose not to. My goldfish are very large in a 65 gal tank and will eat almost anything that will fit in their mouth. Including a snail. I don't have any puffers but have been told they eat snails as well. I believe puffers are freshwater. Or maybe there are different kinds for both. Not sure.

Q: How is everyone adding these to their tank that has a puffer? Mine are coming to life in a small container but don’t come out in the tank with a fish

They will, it took mine several days to start moving around. I thought they were dead but didn't give up hope. They are fine, put them in the tank and give them time. I myself wouldn't put them in a tank with puffers or loaches. It will be their main course of dinner I've been told.

Q: Will they survive in saltwater?

No they will not survive in salt water. For salt water you need ocean snails. I have had some success with rams horn snails surviving in brackish water
