Great product. A bit tricky to setup. Wish there was a battery gauge for the main unit.

I like it a lot, AFTER my unconventional work-around
I bought this weather station as a replacement for my 10-year-old, oldie-but-goodie, LaCrosse WS-7017U-IT weather station, which recently had another of its remote sensors die. Those sensors are completely unavailable for purchase any more. This AcuRite Multi-Room Weather Station looked like a reasonable replacement. I am quite happy with it, but I have had to make some changes to make it usable for me.First its Pros, then the Cons, and what work-arounds I have had to do.PROs:• The three remotes seem to be working well. Even the one I have powered with AA Lithium batteries and placed in my chest freezer.• The setup and operating instructions and the display interface are much better and more logical than on my old unit.• It looks like if one remote goes dead due to old batteries, or other reason, I will be able to reconnect it to the central unit without taking the batteries out of EVERYTHING and starting from scratch.• I am able to calibrate the remotes using a known-accurate glass thermometer as a base. And happily they are quite close without further calibration anyway.• It keeps a record of daily highs and lows, as well as all-time highs and lows.• It has backup batteries to keep the configuration and recorded data from getting lost during a power outage.• The display is bright and easy to read (as long as you don’t try to view it from a low angle)CONS: Only one. And this was almost a deal-breaker for me until I figured out a work-around.The display only has high, medium and low brightness settings. No OFF or Temporarily-ON setting. I have the central display unit on my bedside table. It is unacceptable to me to have the display on (even at the “dim” strength) when I’m trying to sleep. However, if I unplug the unit from house power, the display lights go off but the backup batteries keep everything running internally. I then have the option of pushing a convenient button on the top of the display to turn on its lights for a few seconds. And that is exactly the mode of operation I want. Because I’m well aware that the backup batteries won’t last indefinitely, I purchased the Lenink Adjustable AC Power Supply Adapter for 2 AAA 3 AAA 4 AAA Batteries, which is available on the Amazon site for a very reasonable price. This allowed me to remote my backup power from the batteries to a 4.5VDC plug-in power supply. I realize this is not the standard mode of operation, but it seems to be working flawlessly. If I need to see the temp in my room or of any remote in the middle of the night, I push the button that’s located on the top of the display (like a snooze button would be) and I can read the lighted display for several seconds. If I want to have the display on constantly during the daytime, I have an in-line ON/OFF switch with which I can reconnect the main power supply. Yes, the unit runs fine with the main power supply and the one I set up for the backup batteries both connected at once.

Works Perfectly!
After returning a worthless model from Lacrosse, I ordered this and was amazed at its accuracy. We’re using it to monitor temps under our skirted RV for the winter and in the utility compartment where our water connections are. Suits our needs perfectly, love having all four temps easily visible at all times. Just be aware that the LCD display does having viewing angle restrictions. Vertically, you must be looking at it straight on or from slightly above or the numbers get washed out and disappear. Horizontally, the viewing angle isn’t bad but it’s still limited. This unit could be made perfect with a different type of display visible from any angle and internet/app connectivity that allows you to view temps remotely.

Excellent range. Does what it says.
Purchased this for being able to have simultaneous monitoring of high/low/current temps, barometric, and humidity in four locations on my property at the same time. I did NOT want anything connected to the internet. I wanted a system that would have good range and very low complexity. The brightness of the display is adjustable. The display itself is nice and highly readable. The manual is good. The product does what it says it does.Range has been excellent. Zero issues getting readings properly over 300 ft distances with soil, steel, and concrete in the way.I would not put any of the sensors in a location that is immediately near a human where they work all day or sleep simply to avoid EMF, but I would say that about any device that uses any sort of wireless communications including smart meters.Base has a battery backup, but primarily uses AC power.I really only have one gripe which is that I cannot expand it to have more than four locations that are being monitored. Purchasing another unit would also not work to increase capacity because the three remote sensors are A/B/C selectable which means that another kit/unit would also have a set of identical sensors that would have the same frequency selectors. This is really a nothing issue because it was much more important to me to have a unit completely independent of some cloud internet connected service. If I need to monitor another location, I can just move one of the three mobile sensors.

You can't see the screen...
I did a lot of research before I bought this. It was supposed to be the most accurate of these types of units available, with a USA based company for support.Great.Turns out, it's still made in china. Badly. You can't see the letters and numbers on the screen when you look at it from anywhere near a straight-on angle. Never saw anything like it. Usually, it's the other way around. I contacted support to ask for help- maybe a contrast setting or something?...Nope. Customer service says: "oh, you can't look at it from straight on"...That, in a word- is ridiculous. You can't just put this on a table and look straight at it, or you'll see nothing. If you get say, 45 degrees off of straight, then you can make out the letters and numbers.Worthless. It might be accurate, but if you can't see it, what good is it?Returning this less than 24 hours after first setting it up, and continuing my search for one that is accurate and viewable.

Good thermometer, useless weather station.
It's a good indoor/outdoor thermometer. The weather station function doesn't work at all in our case. The set-up was easy (read the instructions;)). I like the color display. I have the three sensors placed outside to track the current temperature in our garden and surroundings.I live in the desert, so having the weather forecast function work properly would be very helpful.
