Maxed out at 2 HDD devices + webcam.
People should just know you cannot use the power port, if you already have 2 HDD drives plugged in.

Functional hub that is also good looking
The Atolla hub does everything I hoped. It provides multiple USB connections that are switchable (really wanted this for my webcam) as well as dedicated charging port that I will use for phone charging. It fits well with the rest of my desktop. In addition to functionality, the hub looks good! Two complaints: 1) adapter cord is very short, and 2) USB-to-PC cable is hardwired in, so if you need a longer cable, it means using an extension rather than replacing with your choice of cable.Despite these two issues, the Atolla still merits 5 star.

Good USB hub for the price!
I really like this USB hub! Some of the good things about it are the optional power supply,USB 3 capable speeds*, has an extra charging only port, it's small and it comes with a long USB 3extension cable. The optional power supply is great to charge your devices without needing to be plugged intoa pc, and it can function perfectly fine without the power supply for plugging things to usewith your pc.The hub is capable of USB 3 like speeds, however it is not as fast as a straight up USB 3 port. This is not really a big deal, as it took only 12 seconds longer to transfer a 1.8 GB filewith the hub than straight on the USB port on my pc. The likelihood that the extra 12 secondsbeing extremely critical is very low, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.The extra charging port might come in handy some day, but I don't think I would use it soon. It's nice to have though, just in case. The long USB 3 extension cable will be useful if a device has a short cable, or you need morecable length to use or charge a device. The hub is small, so it is easy to take with you on the go, or in my case, stick it to the side of my desk.Let's not forget the usefulness of the individual power buttons for each port, so you canturn off what you don't need. There are a few minor downsides though. The hub is a bit light, and the ports themselves are a littlestubborn. The lightness of the hub is not really a big deal for me, because I have it in an absolutefixed location. However, if I were to be using this on the go, and I didn't tape it to my laptop, the hub will "float" because the connector cable is a bit stiff. This can probably softenover some time. The first time I tried to plug in a USB drive, I was slightly confused. I had plugged in thestick, but it didn't get recognized by the pc. It turns out that you need to carefully continue topress down into the port until you hear a soft click, that's when the conductors make contact. This is something that one can get used to, and this is probably a way for the manufacturerto make sure that the hub does not let go of the cable. As annoying as this was at first,I don't mind it as much as I thought I would.Lastly, it feels a little cheaply built, but I really can't complain for the price.I give this product 4 starts, because it functions as expected. Its cable is a little stiff, and the USB 3 speeds aren't completely utilized, but it gets the job done and has neatfeatures.

So Far, So Good; Great For Computer Tower Users
I got this hub for several reasons: It being self powered, the individual switches and the longer cord lengths. I have a bluetooth connect to Android phone Windows program that often gets "touchy" about the USB dongle. It often has to be plugged in and out again to get it connected. If you use a computer tower, like this Dell Studio XPS with its USB ports on top and in back, that means a lot of reaching from your desk. Not anymore. Great to have the ports right in front of me at all times. The switches save me that USB dongle plugging and unplugging. Also powers and runs my USB clock fine. It seems well made. And, as stated, saves me a lot of reaching on this computer tower to get to the USB ports.
