Good magnetic hold
Has a good magnetic hold but the plastic is on the flimsy side, if it were to fall, it would not survive the drop without cracking

Lightwieght but effective
The deflector will stretch across a standard 14" floor vent but it is flimsy at its size limit. I used an old soldering gun to melt a couple holes where the two halves overlapped, effectively "welding" them together. Much better.

needs stronger magnets, but works
So it does its job. Though, I wish it had stronger magnets. Most duct covers are painted, and this is little more than a fridge magnet. Plus, there's probably a non-flush screw on your duct cover. And of course its method of extension isn't any fancy engineering - it's semi-loose and may fall apart when you're holding it - but not when it's up. It's hard to describe. It's not a fancy gadget. It's a basic piece of plastic with a couple of magnets. Don't expect the world from it.Having said that, although it feels like it's not fully secure, it's been up there for months, and hasn't fallen, and is working like a charm. If you're looking for just basic functionality, get it. You can work around any snags. I worked out a plan if it did fall, which it didn't: cut some of the magnet off and add it to the existing strip, thereby raising it above the screw for a better fit. Alternatively, add better magnets. Worst-case scenario, glue/epoxy. Or drill some holes and use screws. Your goal is to divert the air. This is the proper shape for that application. It may adhere on its own, or you may need to figure out your own way to mount it. It all worked out for me.One thing to note: it extends lengthwise fine, but width-wise it isn't as wide as a typical vent. Depending on the angle of your flaps, and on the desired angle of diversion, that may not be an issue for you. It wasn't for me. But in some cases I could see it allowing some air to still hit a certain area you don't want hit. From what I can tell, all deflectors are the same width, so nothing against this product on that front.

They do the job but…
These work well if nothing is around them. They are thin plastic and crack easily. Magnetic base and adjustable size let’s them fit in most places.

Fell off the ceiling vent and broke on the floor
Easy to use, but didn't have enough hold to stay on the ceiling vent. The magnets let go and the whole thing crashed down about 4 hours after I put it up. Nothing touched or jarred it, not even a door opening. Just fell and scared the bejezus out of me with the noise haha! I glued the magnets from the broken one onto the long side of the other one. We'll see if this one stays up.

They work but
They are really made of lightweight material. I would suspect the would be easy to break.

Very thin
Nice and work great but very thin plastic. Ok price for 2.
