Supernova 2 is an excellent chuck
This is my third Nova chuck and second supernova 2. I purchased a new lathe which had a larger heavier head spindle than my old lathe. The supernova 2 with its replaceable spindle inserts fits the bill very well in upgrading my old chuck and configuring the new one. The chuck itself is well made, very good fit and finish, and the kit has jaws I can use instead of ephemeral rubbish that will collect dust. In all, very happy with my purchase.

Great Bundle!
This is a really nice chuck and this kit has (just about) everything you would need. Additional jaws can be purchased separately which is what makes this a very good value. This is a "system" and not just a chuck. I have already purchased a set of 1" jaws for small projects and i have my eyes on the set of Cole jaws for reverse turning small bowls, etc. Costs more than the generic knockoffs but worth it because of the accessories and expansion possibilities.

Love this jaw!
I wanted a second jaw set for my turning. I have a Oneway Stronghold which I like very much. It has never failed me. But I opted to try the Nova based on price and the extras in this set. I have not been disappointed since. It solidly holds the work, yet I find the tightening mechanism easier to open and close over the Oneway.Assuming I continue to expand my turning and need another jaw, I'll be purchasing another Nova.

Solid, well built chuck
It is a solid chunk of smooth adjustable jaws. I have not put it on the lathe yet. So I can not say how wll it performs. The only down side is that the case is not large enough to hold the assembled chuck. So when I remove from the lathe to use a spur I either have to disassemble or find another place to store which takes up storage space in a confined shop.
