Men Tsuyu/Liquid Concentrated Japanese Noodle Soup Base 16.9 fl oz

I’ve tried many different 鰹魚露 on Amazon and by far this is my fav and this is maybe my 6th or 7th bottle. I simply love the flavor. I like to sub regular soy sauce with this 鰹魚露 for cooking, just because it has more than one note of saltiness. The other 鰹魚露I’ve tried has been on the salty end, I prefer this bottle because it’s a little on the sweeter end. This is a very versatile condiment. I use it for stir-fried dishes and soup-based dishes like noodle soup hot pot or dipping sauce. You should give it a try!

If you add enough water for it to be less salty, there's no flavor. Waaaay too salty!

Got turned onto this from my Ohona next door. Makes the easiest base for Ramen, etc. Tasted deluxe but with the subtle fill ins some soup bases lack. UMAMI, BABY!!!I look at this in the fridge and I just want to drink it straight, but c'mon, I gotta show a little self control. Settin' an example sucks.Anyway, there's a lotta "iffy" buys on Amazon sometimes, but this ain;t one of 'em.

This soup base is delicious and very versatile. I use it in many dishes and it adds a wonderful umami flavor. It’s a great broth for dumplings. It is very concentrated and I have found that I need to dilute it a lot, especially when I am using it as a stand alone soup or broth. As a result, it goes a long way.

This can be added to chicken Broth (just a dash) for fantastic soup. I add wontons and garlic salt.
