When the bulb worked it look just as good as the original. After 14 months and not that much use, mauybe 400 hours, the lamp went out.

This bulb lasted maybe 6 weeks before failing. It failed while I was watching a movie and the projector gave a red lamp failure light. Amazon said it was out of their return window but surely the 90-day return policy would be honored by the company. I reached out to them and they asked me to check things that were uncheckable with a broken lamp, would not honor their own return policy. They told me to hire a repairman for my broken projector and that's all they'd do.Luckily, Amazon allowed for a one-time late return for the item...and lo and behold, the projector works great and the new lamp works.I'd stay away from this seller.

My original lamp blew just before the NFL championship games. I ordered this one, and it arrived in two days. There's a fin on the side that had to be adjusted to match the original unit, but that can easily be done by hand and took two seconds. The unit fit my Benq HT1075 perfectly. I did like that this unit had an integrated retention screw, since I installed it while the projector was still mounted to the ceiling. I also liked that they included gloves for installation. The whole process took about five minutes. It actually took me longer to adjust the positioning of my projector than it did to install. So far, the bulb is performing very similarly to my original.

I just installed this bulb and it’s so far so good. If you’re like me, you’ve learned firsthand how terrible this market for projector bulbs is. I had to return three defective bulbs from different manufacturers before this one worked. I gave four out of five stars because within a few minutes of use I started smelling a heated metal odor which wasn’t happening with the previous bulb. I’ll see how this bulb handles the test of time. I don’t care what anyone believes. Buying from a non-OEM source is far worth the price in savings ($110 cheaper!). The actual Benq site sells for $250 and I couldn’t get past the Benq customer reg page due to site errors =(UPDATE 1/22/21: bulb still works through end of lamp timer 5500hrs. I might buy from this place again

Very easy to install. My protector overheated initially. Turns out, the factory bulb exploded and put shrapnel in the blower unit that cooled the bulb. One blast of compressed air and I was back in business. This is a great bulb for the money. Arrived in two days during Covid19! Much brighter than the factory bulb with nearly 4,000 hours on it.

Got it in July 2020. Turned off today. Replaced it with my old bulb that lasted since 2010. For now. Need to get a replacement as it doesn’t last long.

Update - replacement bulb seems to be working correctly.—————-Bulb blew 3 minutes after I plugged it into the unit. I am very experienced with lamp replacement and know all the dos and don’ts. This was just a bad unit. I put the old bulb back in (I was proactively replacing) and the projector works just perfectly again.
