A gift for someone with Heart Failure
Someone I know and care about wound up with what is called heart failure.I suspect that the problem was the product of botched surgery that happenedtwo years prior. His doctors have been surprising silent about his situation otherthan to recommend a sharply restricted diet. This book offers the support and help lacking in his very real situation. For all the press generated about advances in medicine, I contend thatdoctors are operating in a near barbaric state. There is hope for people with heart disease. You just have to seek it out.I recommend this book as a step in the right direction.

Good for HFref Patients
There are chapters that explained the condition well. It was published in 2010 and I found it lacking in information for patients with preserved ejection fraction. It’s well written so maybe the doctor will update it or write one for HFpef patients.

living well with heart failure, the misnamed, misunderstood condition
i sent this book to my mother who has CHF she said the book arrived in perfect condition and it has helped her a lot with understanding the disease, and with what she can eat/not eat, and what she can do to help herself.

Just what the doctor ordered
Outstanding. Our 43 year old son was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and this book brought the whole extended family up to speed so we could understand what we were up against and do the things that will make the best possible outcome possible. We bought four copies and distributed them around the family.
