Just perfect.
I was sceptical about perchasing that for espresso grind, due to some reviews.I have to say that is PERFECT AND EASY TO USE.I live in Greece and I also drink Turkish coffee which is very fine grind.Like a powder.I clean the grinder all the way for first time (very easy disassembly and assembly) and turn only 1 click the burrs for the finnest selection.I put 20 grams of coffee beans dark roasted and took me 1 minute very easy and very smooth grinding without much efford at all.The coffee was perfect.NowI have to find the espresso sweet grinding spot, which I believe will be 5-6 clicks.Very happy, for the most dificult coffee grind of Turkish coffee, and perfect built overall. The case also is perfect. The only think that I would change has to be the brush. It has to be 2mm thinner so I can put it in the grinder from the opposite side to clean it and there.I couldn't pass it through the braces of the axle that has.Overall very good quality and performance and built for only almost 80 euros.Edit: 1 month later I’m very happy with this grinder. For espresso,6 clicks from close position is the finest that my cheap Gaggia Viva can pass water through. 19gr coffee in 40gr coffee out in about 25 seconds. No sourness or bitterness in my coffee so I’m very pleased.

Perfection at a reasoanble price-Normcore Hand Coffee Grinder
I ordered this grinder after trying a £35 glass and plastic grinder that I returned after it failed. I'm happy to report that this Normcore Hand Coffee Grinder is fantastic. It has 2x ball bearing and steel burs that grind coffee to perfection. It is machined from a single billet of alloy with zero plastic parts (it does have a silicon sleeve around the top section with vertical ribs, unlike the faux leather in some pics) It is better than in the pictures that don't do it justice. Furthermore, it easily holds 30+ grams of beans and grinds extremely uniformly. It is an absolute pleasure to use and has very fine adjustment. I use it with my AeroPress Go, and can say it extracts the best from the beans to make a very smooth cup of coffee. Im very happy with this grinder, £75.99 seems like a lot, but not when it is all alloy construction + 2x bearings and includes a nice case + brush for cleaning etc.

Perfect For My Aeropress
I bought this to use with my Aeropress. After buying bags and bags of pre-ground coffee, I wanted to try making coffee with freshly ground beans. I use Lavazza Qualita Rossa beans and 1 Aerppress scoop is about 10g, which takes about 30 seconds to grind, and makes a cup of delicious coffee. To test the capacity claim, I have ground 2 scoops in one go, and the Normcore takes care of it without any issues. The Normcore has an all metal contruction, except the lid and the wooden knob on the crank. It feels very well made, has a smooth feel as you slowly turn the crank, which never slips off. The catching cup screws on/off the grinder body easily and once screwed on, there is no gap between the two, and it will not come off accidentally. The grounds are consistant in size, but of course, there is always some fines. The whole thing comes in a nice storage case, which protects it well when it is not in use. There is also a cleaning brush in the case.I have yet to disassemble it for cleaning, so I cannot comment on how easy or hard this is to do.There is two areas which may need some improvements:[1] The ground size adjuster dial is very tight, so it is not easy to use. It takes a bit of effort to start an adjustment, and one you overcame the initial resistance, you can turn it many more clicks than intended. Perhaps it will loosen after more uses.[2] The transparent cover has 4 or 5 little cracks on the rim. It feels cold to the touch, perhaps it is glass and not plastic as described in the manual? The manufacturer needs to improved their QA. Fortunately, the grinder came with a spare cover as well as a tool for changing it.At this price point (2.5 times the cost or an Aeropress), you probably won't get a better manual grinder. I will not be going back to pre-ground coffee.

High quality item, beautifully made
Update August 2023: I've been using this every day for over 2 years now and it still works a treat. The stuck-on cover did eventually start to peel at the edges and was only going to get worse so I pulled it off (easily enough) then cleaned both it and the grinder body up thoroughly with some meths (alcohol) which is what that glue needed. Get it thoroughly clean this way, let the alcohol evaporate completely and then use some Evo-stick or other brand of similar contact glue. Cover the tube with an even coating making certain you get complete cover. While still a bit tacky press the cover into place starting at one edge and rolling it around, watching you keep it aligned with the tube edge. Press on firmly, clean up any residue showing and allow to dry. I did this months ago and still perfect. Great grinder and very glad I have it.I can see that some other customer have had issues with the tightness of the grind adjustment so perhaps there are some quality control issues but mine is perfect and I can only go by that. This is a very high quality design, beautifully machined, grinds quickly and precisely everything from over-coarse down to powder suitable for Turkish coffee. Even the case has the look and feel of a top of the range product.I gave up on trying to find a good quality electric grinder as you just cannot find anything outside the professionally priced market that will reliably grind suitably for cafetieres and espresso machines. Unless you want to make dozens of cups a day with only one grind they aren't worth the cost and effort. Hand grinding is the way to go for a few cups a day with a top quality grind. My only complaint is that I find I'm now drinking far more coffee than ever before and can't be bothered at all with tea!

Super grinder, works quickly, easy to use, attractive, I use every day for French Press
I researched and dithered for ages over which grinder to get! I made the right choice, I have only been grinding for French Press coffee but its super fast and a pleasure to use. I may come back and update should I grind smaller for pour overs but for French Press this is excellent. Bit heavy for every day travelling but if you were staying somewhere for a week would be great.

Quality product sold by a caring company.
I am not a coffee snob.....I just like a good mug of coffee. Or more specifically I hate making a bad mug of coffee. So really it comes down to only a few elements to get right and having fresh ground beans makes a huge difference.First hand grinder was a Hario with ceramic burrs and it was good, but as I learned a little more I realized that the inconsistent grind size was a problem. So I began to look at hand grinder with stainless steel burrs and after watching and reading many reviews I decided to buy this Normcore grinder. Decision was based alot on price, performance, build quality and size.Price was important as I don't need much so don't need to spend a lot....but I do know you get what you pay for. This grinder is very well built with an all metal construction so it will last. This grinder performs great as well. It fills easily and grinds the beans very quickly. I can easily see the difference between the Normcore and the Hario. This grinder produces a very even and consistent grind size which will help when trying to dial in a new coffee. It is also a pleasure to use and it feels sturdy and durable in your hand and the wood grip is comfortable to hold and looks great! The bottom reservoir that holds the grounds fastens tightly and unscrews easily. It is small enough that I can tip the entire opening into my aeropress so I don't spill any grounds.I am the only coffee drinker in the house so I didn't need a big grinder so this one is a perfect size. With one fill the most I can get in it is 22 g which is more then I need as I use an Aeropress. And if I ever need more then that it is an easy problem to figure out....🤔 And I do go on canoe trips so this grinder will be coming along as it is nice and compact and durable.I have been using it for 2 weeks now and I must say it is meeting my needs perfectly. The adjustment system is very precise and easy to use so dialing in my grind size was fast and not a pain like my Hario due to all the plastic parts.Now....one last positive is the company has great customer service. Mine arrived in its beautiful travel case and I noticed a cosmetic blemish in the outside wrap. It did not impact the use of the grinder but it might have gotten worse. But as someone who myself appreciates customers letting me know when there are issues with my product, I sent them a quick email with a pic. In less than 12 hrs I had a reply with their sincere apology and they told me how they were going to make it right. WOW! They didn't ask me what I wanted they Immediately went above and beyond (in my opinion) and fixed the issue within another 12 hrs. That info alone should be enough to convince you that you will be completely satisfied buying this grinder as how many companies care that much or fix a minor problem that quickly. Amazing!Buy this grinder.....you won't be disappointed!

Well-made and great balance of performance and aesthetic.
I like to discover new brands and things to experience for my Instagram so I was interested to look into this as I was looking to explore into using a manual grinder. I wanted a balance between quality and price so this seemed to hit the spot.Using the item was pretty straightforward with the instruction booklet and the package surprised me with its set of tools to keep the grinder clean and packed. The grinder itself is also very solidly made and feels nice in the hand.My experience grinding it was good. Smooth and easy. I placed the setting at 15 as recommended but because I like my brighter notes, will try for a finer setting next time. The only thing to note is that you need to be gripping on to the right area when screwing or unscrewing the base, or it might do the reverse for the upper area.Enjoyed this, thank you!

Excellent quality
Beautifully constructed and easy to use.Only problem is that the handle sometimes falls off. Would be better if it "clicked" into place.

Easy/fast to grind and well constructed/sturdy
I got the black 38mm burr size, and I grind my coffee coarse for my French press. Grinding the beans was incredibly easy and fast. It feels incredibly sturdy due to the container and burrs all being made of metal. The receiver (25g) is the perfect size for two servings of coffee.Just had my first cup of coffee using it, and it’s the smoothest coffee I’ve ever made. I drank it down to the dregs with no unpleasant grittiness, unlike the coffee I grind at the grocery store. (Side note, the carrying case it comes in is really nice, and I love the little cleaning brush.)This is my first coffee grinder, so I don’t have much experience to compare it to, but it definitely trumps the somewhat gritty coffee I’ve been having in the past. Plus, now each cup I have will taste and smell fresh. Highly recommend this product. :)

Favourite part of my morning
It's rare that I write reviews, unless I love something. And I've been wanting to write this for a while, and finally getting around to do it. I've had my Normcore for a few months now, and I use it every morning. And to be honest, I just really love the experience. It takes maybe 15 seconds to grind enough for my stovetop espresso maker, and I love every second. It's efficient, a perfect grind every time, and it just feels good. It's cheesy, but I use that time to bring myself into the present moment and remember that I am alive. I find that stovetop espresso is better with a coarser grind than a normal espresso machine, so after much trial I've found 12 to be perfect for me.Only complaint is that it is a metal burr, so as it grinds over time it does get a bit static-y. That means that the grounds start to stick to the sides instead of going into the filter. So my solution has been that I first transfer the grounds into a glass and use it as an excuse to clean up the grinder a bit. I'm betting a ceramic grinder would prevent this. But I still absolutely love the quality so I'm still in love. Would recommend.(Note: I like to dabble in photography, and this thing looks cool, so I've uploaded a couple pics I had some fun taking)
