Penn-Plax(BW28) Bubble Wall Air Diffuser, 28-Inch

I watched a video comparing many of the different aquarium bubble tubes available, because that's just the kind of person I am :(Anyway, these came out on top, scoring top marks on spread and bubble size. Being in need of an aquarium bubble tube I purchased not one but two..In use they're inconsistent. They're made of the typical fibrous, semi-porous type material, with more flow in some areas than others, and other areas with no flow at all. They may be fine for your application but they are of no use to me.

I have 3 of these connected together and used with AllPond Solutions Aquarium Tropical Air Pump AP3 which has a dual airline connection so I can have airflow to both ends of the bubble wall. Really easy to fit together. With a number of them connected it doesn't lie flat so I struggled to get mine to sit underneath the gravel. Luckily some of the suction cups have stuck very firmly to the wall of the tank so it's sitting on top of the gravel at the moment. Bubble quality is reduced when it's beneath gravel but I might give it another try if I decide I'd rather it was out of sight. Overall very pleased with purchase and great value.

It works, but the following will certainly happen:It will un-stick, and drift to the top of the tank or elsewhere.The connector will come loose, and the bubbles will be released from the middle.You will have unequal distribution of bubbles, unless you install it with absolute precision.It does function, but not particularly well. I have used for a few months now, and it just about works. If you are looking for ease of use and longevity, look elsewhere.

Arrived open and didn't work at all. Went straight in the bin, shame as the 18 inch one from the same company I bought works perfectly.
