Dead flat sheen
Great varnish - produces a completely Matt finish. Used to finish off a bathroom cabinet build which I’d painted in F&B eggshell paint. I found that a soft brush was ok but still could see stroke marks so opted for my mini Harris short pile paint roller and it dried with a great finish. Easy to wash up in water and household washing up liquid. Did several coats to ensure a strong and even coating. Expensive but it goes quite a way when applying. I stir thoroughly before use as it says not to shake - presumably this might cause unwanted bubbling. Seems pretty water resistant and it has a biocide so counting on that giving protection from any mould etc.

Performs well.
Used to repair a damaged worktop. Did the job and seems to be hardwearing.

Appears to perform as stated.
I purchased this product to use on the handles of hand tools which I have refurbished, over soft paint in order to make it more robust. I also needed the finish to be highly non-reflective.This product appears to suit my purpose. It defo gives a very flat finish and so far the finish on some of the tools coated and already in use appears to be holding up.It’s a bit expensive but used carefully goes reasonably far. I applied two coats lightly sanding the first to provide a key after 24 hours.

Second purchase, recommend product
A good flat matt result with just 2 coats. Easy to use, a little goes a long way.Sadly my first purchase did not arrive. No correspondence from seller to sort it out. I just bought another one (expensive) but the only product I like to use

Not good on bright concrete
I produce handmade concrete and Jesmonite planters and home decor. It really work with Jesmonite. However concrete work is ruined. That varnish leaves nasty yellow marks on bright concrete. Is not good for uneven surfaces. I have tried to put thin layer on all product, but even flat surface have yellowish marks.

Not a varnish
Very watery consistancy, but I trusted the process. I used this for a table I was upcycling. Dead matt finish is perfect BUT, if it gets when it becomes cloudy and peels off like dried PVA. When it dries it returns to clear dead matt but not a varnish at all.

Cant beat polyvine!
If you're looking at the reviews to help you decide whether to purchase polyvine varnish then it definitely is worth every penny! It is a bit more expensive, the small jars/bottles are the most expensive, so its worth springing for the larger bottle if you can! I have 3 different types of polyvine varnish, all for different items and I absolutely love them all. You wont regret it

Magnificent finish
This is now my finish of choice. Does not colour the wood and goes on like a dream. Yes it’s a lot of money, but coverage is good. My tip is to use a good quality varnish brush and ditch the foam ones. I finished to 240 grit for first coat then 320.
