These are always my go-to pen for years and years.
I love really high quality pens, and since I write a lot (both by hand and also on a PC laptop computer), I am super picky about what kind of pen I use. These Pilot Precise V5 Stick Rolling Ball Pens are simply my go-to favorites. I keep trying less expensive kinds and different styles, but I ALWAYS come back around to these. Even the ones that try to be a knock-off of these still don't nail it completely with their quality and consistency. Their precision and the way the ink flows with these are simply the best for this price range. While I also own much fancier and more expensive pens that I love (a Waterman, for example - and I LOVE MontBlanc), those aren't practical on a daily basis when you're writing large amounts of stuff. These are the kinds of pens I have to guard with my life, because they conveniently disappear amongst my other family members and friends. I've bought huge packs of them before, and someone is ALWAYS trying to swipe them! I love these better than most gel pens (although I like those too at times), as they don't dump as much ink as you're writing. It's much finer and more precise, and they feel sturdy and consistent in the hand each and every time I use them.Overall, these are my favorite pens to use that won't bust my bank, and almost have a "fountain pen" pointy feel to them (even though they're clearly a rolling ball). Love these after using them for 15+ years! Two thumbs up!

One of the best pens ever
These are my go to Pens from Pilot. I really like their click V5 Click Pens, but I usually keep one or two in the collar of my polo and I've had one leak on a shirt before. So back to the Capped version. These write so well and come in enough different colors if you happen to have a young daughter that enjoys doodling. If you haven't tried one of these Pilot Precise Pens the V5 is the way to go. I think the lines the V7 produces are just a tad to thick. Enjoy!

Great Pens
I'm a die-hard Pilot G2 fan. Specifically, 0.38. I like to write smaller. However, these are really nice to write with. They're frictionless across the paper compared to the G2, so you have to be more precise and have a softer touch, but the black really black and looks great. They're also better than the G2 for writing on some kinds of paper (like signing the check at a restaurant printed on thermal paper). A lot of finer pens don't really seem to want to lay down much ink on those.

Not a Micro Point, Not .25 mm (Great for a Fine Tip Though!)
I suppose I'm the idiot for taking a chance on these pens, since a couple other reviewers noted that they didn't get the product they expected. Nonetheless, the day I placed my order, the product description said "Micro Point, 0.25 mm" and the product specs said "Extra Fine .25 mm" and I figured that the substitution of a .5 mm pen for the advertised pen must have been a thing of the past. I figured wrong. These pens have a tip twice the diameter they state having! That's like ordering a T-shirt size Medium and being sent an X-Large; yes, technically you could wear it, but it's not at all what you wanted. If you are looking for a "Fine Tip" rather than an "Extra Fine" or "Ultra Fine" or "Micro Point," these pens are great. They do write cleanly and smoothly, have a true black ink and resist fading. In fact, they are probably one of my top picks for a 0.5 mm pen. I've owned these pens in the past (and do again, apparently!) and haven't had problems with skipping or scratching, though they are prone to leaks, so use caution if you travel with pens frequently. These are lovely for a 0.5 mm pen; they just don't cut it for a .25 mm pen.Edited to add (2/25/11): Awesome! Looks like the product description and title have been changed to read 0.5 mm! It still says "Micro Point," in the title, which it isn't. It's an "Extra Fine" pen and still excellent at being an "Extra Fine" but undeniably poor at being a "Micro Point." I've added two stars since the product I received is what it now purports to be. As I noted before, these are very satisfying 0.5 mm pens, but due to their tendency to leak I recommend them with some reservations.

Great pens
These pens are made well. I LOVE the way they write and so easy to hold. I wish they made these as a clicker pen.
