Terrific for more than just 'regular' use (read on!)
First, I'm a man, and I don't do drag or cosplay. For some reason, I don't have my natural eyebrows anymore. I don't know why. (I'm not bald, and it's irrelevant at this point, the cause.)What IS important is how to deal with it.The most straightforward answer - do nothing - isn't my bag. Having no eyebrows isn't as uncommon as you (or I once) thought. On my journey to deal with this, I've consciously tried to look at people's brows as often as possible. I've seen the awful (primarily women who never learned), but whatever they use (it looks like a thick black marker), they make a dark line. That is obvious, and aesthetically, it's terrible. I've seen people - both men and women - who use whatever they use but put it on so it's visible, for example, obvious. All I want is to look like nothing's happened. I want natural-looking eyebrows. Like anything else, to do something right takes time, effort, and study (though I said I'm not a drag queen - I do know my share, and I've always been amazed at all the work they do, so remember that it takes time to look tacky/hot/natural, etc., if that's what YOU want. I won't waste your time with everything I've done, used, tried. The first thing I noted was the pencil (I'll refer to all things which come in a pencil, or pencil-like applicator as such, just for simplicity) I first tried would fade and smudge relatively fast - and this was at the beginning of a workday. I didn't want to jot into a men's room and stand with my 'tools' to draw on my brows. I'm not 'embarrassed'; I don't want people to know about this. I ultimately got two terrific items (BOTH Revlon and BOTH ColorStay; a fine line micro eyebrow (brown) pencil, and this (even though I've got naturally dark brownish/black hair, not everything's the same colour; it's usually a mix, so I first use the dark brown fine line pencil - 1 line on top (where the brows' height should end), and another at where their 'base' should be. Typically, you'll hear beauty experts tell you to use a small brush - a 'spoolie' - to blend the top line down and the bottom line upwards. I don't). Then, I take this Revlon product (Revlon's ColorStay Browlights pencil) and, starting at the area closest to the centre of my face - gently press this on the brow's skin and move it towards its outermost ending point. Then, I take the micro brush (found on this product. It's got a pleasant feeling: not 'hard', but complete and gentle. I brush both the top down and the bottom up (remember, you do this gently, to 'blur', NOT to 'scour' it off!) If you step back when you've finished this, you'll see you've got a realistic-looking eyebrow, and by this, I mean there are darker, fuller, and lighter areas, but overall, it looks natural. More importantly, it STAYS. You COULD stop at this point, and you'll have brows that should last a lot longer than those made with non-ColorStay. I go a little bit further to give myself '3D' brows (remember what I said; I want it to look 'REAL', and the ONLY compliment one should hear - whether it's cosmetic surgery or something like this, is SILENCE. That's right, it should be UN-noticeable). I next use another Colorstay product; Revlon's ColorStay Fiber Filler and gently brush it - from the bottom of the 'now-brow', upward and outward. After this, I AM done. As I said, just doing the first two steps is good enough to simulate the appearance, or if you've thinning brows or no brows at all - gender's irrelevant. The ONLY thing that differentiates men wearing makeup from women is that the finished look should be 'invisible' - or, as invisible as a situation deems. Whatever your reason, Revlon's ColorStay products DO as their name implies; they STAY and do as promised. I HIGHLY recommend this product.
