Mattel DC Comics Unlimited Superman Collector Action Figure

My old superman action figure broke,so I was in search of a new one.I picked this Superman figure.It arrived WAY earlier than expected and I was excited to see it.It was at first very very stiff but then I managed to get the articulation moving.he has the same articulation as other dc unlimited figures and great detail.Love the painting on the hair as it is black and also has a hint of light blue.When I compared it to my new 52 Batman and flash I was astonished,they were perfectly the same height and build.my problems are really not that toy ruining,but the problems I had were 1. That the cape was NOT connected to the shoulder instead the back. 2. Some of the sculpting and painting were pretty sloppy but overall that doesn't really change anything for me.5/5 VERY RECOMENDED

I realy was suprised at how much I like this toy. the shiny suit looks great. and his face looks good to. the photos really don't do it justice. the articulation isn't spectacular but it is still good enough. my figure came with really stiff joints. and after using a hairdryer I got most of the joints to move. the forward and backward leg movement is still stuck though. and I don't want to rip the legs off by accident. I think its just mine though so I may by another one in the futer, cause I do like this figure.

As my first Superman by Mattel, I absolutely adore this action figure! The only issue with mine is the waist joints came out rather tight. But the heat and freeze method took care of that. Overall I recommend this figure to anyone who's a fan of DC comics or who is just looking for a solid Superman figure for their collection.

This is an incredibly detailed figure. So fun to play with, but not if you're a 4-year-old boy. While the boy absolutely loves his Superman action figure, this particular figure is not built to hold up to the tenacity of play you would expect from a little boy. They last between 3-6 months before arms and legs start falling off. We're on our second Superman (also have Flash and Green Lantern) and won't be purchasing a third.

Like the details of this figure. The New 52 has been a good series to relaunch some of the action figures from DC. This was a good start.

So disappointing when your child opens their Christmas present and it's broken in the box.

this figure looks like Superman, but the sculpt isn't so super. When I purchased him, New, his hand fell off in the package--and his legs were too turgid to move. It's a shame because he does look great. I guess this is one for the collectors who keep their figures in package, and not for anyone who wishes to open for display, and especially not for kids, as every little piece is a choking hazard. I know the idea of a toy that is not ideal for kids is beyond ironic. A lot of DC figures have quality control issues. I must suggest the Marvel Legends, they are the best 6" superhero action figures on the market. If you just must have DC figures, the Greg Capullo line of sculpts is great (thrasher batman) and the DC New 52 figures are quality too (even if flexibility is limited). I give this 2/3 stars for its good looks--like classic comic Superman, but found it dissappointing due to its (1) being broken in box and (2) overall fragility.Amazon was great, and refunded my purchase. I'll likely buy another Superman soon.

This guy is awesome! He is fully poseable, including wrists, waist, ankles, and joints you wouldn't think an action figure would bend. The only thing I don't love is that his cape is fixed on and is one hard piece... it would have been nice if it was removable, or made of cloth so it's not in the way so much. I was hesitant to purchase a toy so expensive for my 3-yr-old, but he's obsessed with Superman and just loves this! He's the hero in allll the games these days =)
