Great item well packaged, Was purchased to see if it would punch lead. Of which it did very easily. I use the lead to weight the chess pieces i make, with a 3d printer.

I bought this not knowing what sizes I would need in the future, but thought common metric sizes would be catered for.While the sizes of the punches are given in both metric and imperial, they are biased to common imperial sizes.The first time I used this I wanted to punch out an 18mm washer -- no luck! You have 16mm or 19mm. I ended up having to buy a few extra punches to fill the gaps in this set.

Simply put, not fit for purpose. All of the punches are blunt and will definitely not keep any form of cutting edge. If all you want is faint ring shaped indentation, you’d probably still be disappointed.

Used these in a small press for cutting out green baize discs for the bases of chess and draughts pieces. I had to sharpen the up on a 400 grit sanding wheel to get a good result, but then I was not using them for what they were designed for. Cheap and cheerful, and they work.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Bought for cutting circles in very thin 0.4mm latex sheeting, these punches couldn't even make a mark on it, and believe me, I used enough force. Even got the hammer out, no joy. 100% useless. They also came covered in some greasy material that wasn't quite WD-40 but left dirty stains on everything.But what can you expect when Amazon is packed to the rafters with cheap, Chinese trash that is barely fit for purpose. Avoid like the plague.
