Sonicwall TZ370 Total Secure - 1YR Advanced Edition (02-SSC-6819) | TZ370 Network Security Appliance with 1 Year Advanced Protection Service Suite | Next-Generation Firewall

I am our companies local network admin but ony because I know a little more that everyoen else. I have no formal trainig in IT but have been into it as a hobby since high school. This is a complex piece of equipment and not for the faint of heart unless your trained in networking. However I was able to install and set up all of the advanced features watching their youtube videos. Most features you just "turn on" but some like deep packet inspection SSL need some study and effort. Still I was able to secure my network and now have a daily dashboard where I can see all threats and have selected to get email alerts for some of them. I did need a little help from my computer consulting company to get the VPN to flow though it but that was like a 15 minute ticket. The rest I did myself. Previousely all I had was a router with some simple firewall settings but no active intrusion or ransomware protection. This beast has it all including a proprietary sandbox cloud that will inpect suspecious files (even encrypted) at their cloud based sandbox before allowing it on your netwrork and it happens without noticable slowdown. I had all the features turned on within a weeks time. I love it and feel truly safe for the first time knwoing it has my back is is watching for intrsuions before they happen and preventing ransomware form even getting through the fireawall in the first place.

I was a bit skeptical at first because of the very low price compared to purchasing the TZ370 with 1-Year Total Secure at an "Official Reseller". Turns out this is the real thing, with a subscription that will start as soon as you activate the product. You can tell that the original Sonicwall label was hidden by another one added on top that doesn't look original at all, so there was some monkey business here to circumvent Sonicwall's price protection. But the product is real, and the subscription works, so it's all I care about!

Been using Sonicwall for years. Love the fact that this one came with 3yr CGSS and support license. Easy to use, but do miss the old UI.

Everything went well since I clicked to purchase this item. The box arrived well packaged and the price of the 3YR license just worked out better for me form both price and operational point of view.

I really wanted to like this firewall, but the throughput reduction we encountered when enabling Sonicwall’s basic security features was unacceptable. For example, the TZ370 product specifications indicate an IDPS throughput of 1.5 Gbps. We have a GB Fios connection and averaged 880/150 with no security features enabled (Cat8 cables, no electro interference detected, etc.). I expected some download speed reduction, but not as much as encountered. Enabling IDPS dropped us to 150/120. Enabling spam, bot detection, etc. resulted in further (but much lesser) throughput reductions when coupled with IDPS. Each feature enabled independently from the others resulted in the same throughput reduction. Point is, with over 50 devices connected to the network such a major throughput reduction was unacceptable and not scalable for us. I wound up returning the firewall after spending 10 hours troubleshooting it. Quick search online and you can see other users have noted similar speed reductions and throughput dissatisfaction.Also, keep an eye on this product. The price deviates by a couple hundred dollars at any given time. Observed about a $200 sporadic increase/decrease over a one week period (post purchase).

Finally got it installed and it’s working well with VPN etc
