Modengzhe 2 Pcs DC 12V EL Wire Inverter, 1-5M Electroluminescent Driver Unit for Neon Glow Cold Light Strip

I purchased this to add lights to my bike. It worked great and has held up to the elements. I would highly recommend this product.

Product seems to work however it says it's 2 piece on the page but I only received one.

The Modengzhe 2 Pcs DC 12V EL Wire Inverter worked as designed; I connected them to the El Wire .

Bought these to run EL panels not EL wire. Ran these inverters for 36 hours for a burn in test. No change in brightness observed from the test items. Test condition and end results - room temp was 73°F, both test panels increased to 74°F, 4"x6" rectangle inverter ran at 100°F, 2"x12" strip inverter ran at 105°F. Pretty pleased with the results.Update: 4/13/24: The unit that ran at 105°F failed at about 48 hours. No external damage visible. Will update after replacement item is tested.Update 4/20/24: Received replacement inverters. Ran this set for 72 hours with no failures.Update 5/9/24: Down graded star rating from 5 to 3. OK I needed 6 of these inverters. I have had to order 12 to get the 6 I needed. The 6 I've kept all passed a 72 burn in test. I tested all twelve at 14.2 VDC to simulate the voltage of a running car. The 6 that failed all seemed to run a little hot anywhere from 115° to118°. One failed at 20 minutes. The other five failed anywhere between 40 to 68 hours. So my opinion of these is - If you get good ones they work really well. But a 50% failure rate is pretty bad.

Much quieter (because it's potted)

have EL wire providing backlight for switches. Replaced failed inverters with these and I have had no problem for months until one day it started to smoke. The unit melted and all insulation on the wires melted away.
