Will have to read it again!
Arrived in mail sooner than expected! I am not going to review this book as others do a better job than I, and some parts connect with us on different levels.I read it in a hurry...too fast, and I had a cold. I will need to read it again at a much slower pace to let it all sink in better.If you have read any book by Eckhart Tolle, then "The Primal Connection" by Mark Sisson is an equally substantial meaty read:)This is not a quick read but a get very comfy, and spend some time with a very good book reading experience. These chapters require thought and reflection. Taking notes would be a good idea.Some chapters are easy to burn through but that is just me;) I will take my time to read each chapter to get the full benefit of what I'm reading. Being in a hurry, or reading a paragraph here or there won't help. This is a book that requires study but not in the scholarly way.Read it, make the connection, understand it, and read it over again to absorb and practice it in real life.

Inspirational Book Goes Beyond the Dietary Aspects of the Primal Lifestyle
I just finished reading The Primal Connection - as someone who has followed Mark and other popular paleo nutrition advocates for over a year now, this book really drove home the lifestyle aspects of this movement. Mark organizes the book into different topics, connecting aspects of our ancestors to disconnects of today (we have huge social networks but few real friendships, etc) and providing PRACTICAL, REAL EXAMPLES of how to reforge and reconnect to what will truly make us whole. Mark draws upon well reviewed sources and provides so much to work with. The book was captivating, motivating, and uplifting.For those who have adapted to the nutritional aspects of the ancestral health movement, this book is an amazing next step. For those who feel something missing, a disconnect of sorts from relationships, instinct, and the finer details of life, this book provides an explanation for these issues and many ways of fixing them. Pick it up, read it, and act on it.

Hervorragend geschrieben - dieses Wissen sollte jeder Mensch haben!
Mark Sisson hat es wieder geschafft: Nachdem sein erstes Buch "The Primal Blueprint" schon ein absoluter Knaller war, der mit der gängigen Meinung zu Kohlenhydraten, Getreideprodukten, fetthaltiger Nahrung, Zucker und dem herkömmlichen Fitness-Wahn brach, widmet er sich in diesem Buch nun den Basis-Bedürfnissen des Menschen. Sonnenlicht/Vitamin D, Barfuß(-schuhe), Lebenseinstellung, echte Freunde bzw. Freundeskreis... dieses Buch rückt die Dinge in den Vordergrund, die wirklich wichtig sind und jedem Menschen einen echten Gewinn an Gesundheit, Fitness, Mobilität und Wohlbefinden bringen können.

An example for all of us!
I have only just received the book, but I've read it in a weekend and can only say, what a truly inspiring book! Mark talks about everything, from the simple things in life like enjoying playtime with you loved ones and friends onto how to reclaim our lost connections with nature. It truly is the best thing you can do for yourself reading this book, because so many of us have lost site of the good things in life.Our 24/7 economies aren't helping but we need to reconnect with everything that is important like spending some quiet time somewhere in a park instead of constantly sitting behind our PC's or actually enjoying a meal or a chat without constantly being on the iPhone or other tablets. Go out there and reconnect with your instincts and as I don't want to give away to much, I can only say this is definitely a must read, if you know what is good for you! :-)

Our best change to achieve well-being in the modern world
This is a remarkably insightful book that anyone would benefit from. Page after page, it is full of wisdom and seemingly obvious disconnects that exist in our modern civilized lives. I am a certified Primal Health Coach, and out of all of the work Mark has created in books, and on the internet, I think this is the most important of all. I am someone who was nearly swallowed whole by the temptations of city life and modern convenience. But my exposure to the field of ancestral health, and a deep-rooted Italian heritage saved me from completely drowning in an inauthentic life. If only everyone could experience such an awakening! Well, I believe they could if they would apply the principles in this book. Honor the rise and fall of the sun, challenge your brain and your body, allow them both time to rest, express your creativity and curiosity, run for your life once in a while, and touch your bare feet to the earth.
