Omnigrid Omnigrip 20-1/2" x 20-1/2" Non-Slip Square Quilting Ruler

I do a lot of applique and find this large square is perfect for cutting out the large background squares. I am constantly using it . . . don't know how I managed without it and wouldn't give it up now that I own it! And like all Omnigrid products, it is excellent quality and very easy to use. 20 1/2" is a perfect size since you can cut two from one 44" width of fabric, and I find a number of applique quilts (like several from Blackbird Designs and Jan Patek) are based on 20" completed size squares. But you can easily cut nonsquare and smaller pieces using this ruler as well. I had a 16" square before buying this but found it was often too small for my needs. Better too large than too small!

This is a HUGE ruler but it’s very well-marked. Instructions explain how to use it for various cuts, angles and squaring quilt blocks.

This is just enormous and I'm not sure why I bought it except that as a quilter I feel like I have to have ALL THE THINGS. I do like to make large blocks sometimes--not this large, but larger than my 12.5x12.5 ruler. So I'm quite sure I'll get some use out of it. It'll probably be helpful for squaring quilts before sewing on binding, too. You know how it is--better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I wanted this square ruler for a quilting project. It worked perfect for myself and my sister in law. Great tool make the task of cutting the 22" blocks down to 20.5" easy and slick.

The ruler is great, love this brand the best!!But the lackluster packaging job from Amazon meant that the ruler I received had a completely broken corner. Trying again…

A lady asked me to finish a quilt she had started 12 yrs ago. It had 15-3/4" fussy cut blocks. This ruler made it SO much easier. I first found the center point and marked, then took the halfway measurement to line up a ruler and cut each side from the center point. The ruler has directions for other uses too. It was just what I needed to finish this quilt with it's odd-sized fussy cut blocks. Most square rulers are not this big, so anything between 12" and 20.5" will not be a problem for me anymore. Oh, and you can put Omnigrid Glow Line tape on the ruler for a specific size too.What I love most about it is the center hole for marking your fabric, and it's size. Very Happy with my purchase
