The Best FIFA in the series
The best Fifa for me. It is more balanced and gameplay is widely more fun. One of problems with Fifa was that it is always looks nice from the outside but gameplay is horrible or at least lack of fun. Last year I switched to PES which had a more fluid gameplay, while FIFA 16 was the worst in the series; however, this year I’m playing both, since FIFA 17 is really fun and I'm enjoying the gameplay. Still there are some flaws in the game. First, delay in crossing is just annoying. Sometimes it ends up with shooting instead of crossing since you already press shooting button after pressing the crossing button. Second, heading is overpowered somehow. Third, midfielders are under-powered; I don' feel they are effective in the game as compared to wings or strikers and full backs and defenders in general. Fourth (and the most issue with FIFA), players have no special ID. There is still a lack of uniqueness in playing styles. Fifth, long passes (L1+triangle) is insufficient and unrealistic in terms of how the player’s body moves when he throw a long pass. Sixth, still some glitches here and there. Finally, Tactics are shallow in the game (unlike PES which is strong in tactics that make a difference during games). On the other hand, there are several strengths in the gams. Defending for example is enjoyable as it is more challenging compared to PES which has an easy defending approach. In PES you don’t need a lot of effort to defend. Keepers are better than before. They are good and more realistic. Overall gameplay is enjoyable; I feel I want to keep playing (and this is the most important thing for me). Attacking and defending is exactly as same as the real football in terms of pace, especially when both teams play an open game; a lot of thrilling and adrenaline during the game. Also, collision between players is so real and authentic. Players also move in more fluid way in the pitch (PES for instance has a weird system, sometimes I feel players are attached to something that force them to move their body or the ball rigidly). Figures between the two halfs and after the game regarding possession percentage, passing, attacking, players rating is awesome and it is the closest to reality. In my opinion, if FIFA only can create the Players ID, as Konami did, (I mean by that our ability to identify a player from far away and by realizing his passing style, moving style, running, etc) then FIFA can make no reason for me at least to play PES. FIFA as a whole experience is the closest to reality. PES still a great game. They both should be picked up this year.

Better but still not Great
Thanks to Amazon! I have the game delivered Monday Morning to me. The game is better than last year not going to lie. The graphics are a big difference which is always a plus. The controls are the same with classic nothing changes. Passing in the game still sucks as last year which i hope that gets finally fixed. I aim and press everything correctly and it passes somewhere completely different, but you learn how to adjust and get pass that. The really downfall of Fifa recently for me IMO is that this moving away from a sports game and becoming more of a strategic game when it comes to free kicks, corns, penalty kicks etc. You now have to learn how to kick the ball pressing a combination of buttons to get it to do what you want, i understand where EA is going to make this look and feel more realistic but people just want to play a football and enjoy it. Not get stressed out because they can't get to figure out how to do a curved corner kick. That is my only con for this game. Also one thing i think needs to be balanced it’s the whole FUT. It's crazy the amount of money people ask for certain cards, again you want to create a team and have fun, yes make it a bit difficult but when every Spanish player in La Liga cost over 30k is a bit ridicules which is why i didn't get the deluxe version this year and holding back on FUT.I'm not a fan of PES and I had ordered it this year and cancelled my order since I’ve been with Fifa since 98 on my N64. I prefer having all the clubs I enjoy playing with then having to download extra things to change the appearance.

Gameplay, Ultimate Team, Companion App, Flaws, Glitches
Background:Well, I have been playing ONLY soccer since Winning Eleven 3 on PS1 . Then PES on PS2/PS3. After that, I switched from PES to FIFA in in 2011. Since 2007, I never missed a year buying either PES(before) or Fifa(now).Fifa17 gameplay review:So far, the game play is excellent! It's much better than Fifa 16. And it avoids some disadvantages of Fifa 16 such as using PACE PACE PACE as an only way to play. Now in Fifa 17 Pace is less effective, PASSING is more effective. As in the real world. Also, it is more realistic now because the players' movement and motion is slower and more real.In addition, they added lots of new features. Free kicks and penalties are completely different now. You have to practice a lot to get used to them. Also, I like the fake throw balls feature.Fifa Ultimate Team:For FUT lovers, FUT now is sick! Squad building challenges is a whole new experience where you exchange real players in your team with some rewards. For example, there is a challenge that says make 17-chemistry squad with at least three players, and you get a silver pack reward, etc. (But rewards get bigger and challenges get more difficult later).Companion App:Another thing FUT players will like is the companion app (on IOS and Android). The companion app now is much more better than before. They added 'compare price' to the app, which means you do not have to open your console to do the trading, etc. You can do that through your phone.Flaws:so far, I have been able to find one flaw that is worth telling: SHOTS, especially LONG SHOTS seem to be very, very overpowered now! Almost every long shot is a goal! I hope they fix this in the next updates. I will update this review with more flaws once I play more.Overall, everything in Fifa17 is much more beautiful, realistic, and advanced than Fifa 16. I love the game play, I love the new things they added.I wanted to talk about the other game modes such as Online Seasons, Pro Clubs, The Journey, etc. But I do not want my review to be too long (although it's long already). However, if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer. Good luck in your gaming!________Please be adviced that I am not comparing PES and Fifa. I know PES has its audience and So does FIFA. I'm just writing my initial thoughts on this new FIFA.____________________UPDATE: 10-1-2016I have played a couple of games now. Still, overall I LOVE the gameplay. However, there's some that EA need to fix! I'll randomly write some of what I have noted; either poaitive or negative.1- there is injuries in Online modes now! To me, so far, I like this. But others may view it as a disadvantage.2- through balls, long shots, driven shots inside the box, and corners are OVERPOWERED!- through balls (especially between the CB) kill, and it's almost impossible for defenders to get them.- The corner glitch where you call a second player and pass it to him then cross the ball is back! I hope they fix this later.3- if you like possession, this may help you. I noticed that when players receive the ball, it takes about a second or two for them to do the next action or to respond. During this time, your opponent may intercept the ball. To avoid this, pass the ball with one touch to the intended player before it even gets to the receiver. For example, I am passing the ball from Iniesta to Messi. Before the ball gets to Messi, I should press the passing button and direct the ball to whomever. Just try playing with one touch and you will notice a big difference.
