Loved this. I expected it to look cheap and nasty since it is made of plastic but it looks great and can't tell that it isn't glass without touching it. Holds loads of food - but if too much plate space for what you are adding, it can be made up as only a 3 tier if required. As it's plastic it is light - but sturdy enough to hold a lot! Photo attachedThe instructions are actually on the box and show exactly where both sets of the washers go (metal washer, then a soft washer, add the next plate, add another soft washer then the spacer rod and repeat the process). It is fairly easy to assemble, but you need to be careful to screw in straight and not force anything, and it will line up just fine! If you do try to 'force it', it may not be straight, but have a lean. It was, however, very easy to disassemble and store back in the box it came inThinking of buying a second one in case We ever need another one

I bought this for a home made Mother's Day Afternoon Tea & it was perfect for afternoon tea for four. The afternoon tea might have been home made but looked just as good as a bought one, set out on this stand. I used the bottom plate for sandwiches, the next plate for scones and the next two plates for small cakes. Well worth the money, looked great & will be using it again on special occasions.

Not enough washers supplied, had to improvise and make additional ones from cardboard. Looked ok when assembled. Such a fiddle I have not disassembled. Not bad but not great.

Being perfectly honest I wan't expecting very much from this. I thought it would be a bit wonky & only last for a couple of uses.But it really surprised me.Arrives disassembled in a flat box; akin to a pizza box. Inside, nicely protected against scratches, though using a few too many plastic bags, all the main pieces were individually wrapped.Contents are; -4 x Thin washers4 x Thicker washers1 x Bolt3 x Metal stem spacers 4.4"1 x Metal stem handle 4.7"4 x Plastic plates, measuring 1 x 11.6", 1 x 9.6", 1 x 7.7", 1 x 5.8"Assembly is pretty easy & self explanatory, I was expecting the threads that hold it together to be pretty rubbish, but they all screwed together well & held tight. In fact once it was all together [only took about 5 minutes] it was solid & could be loaded with a veritable feast of goodies.A friend of mine had been telling me before she visited that her kids had seen people having afternoon/high tea on TV & thought it looked great. So I got to baking & making sandwiches before the visit as a surprise for them.I will say that with it having four tiers & the plates being quite wide it has a lot of real estate for filling, luckily I'd gone to town on creating a lot of goodies.The look on the kids faces was pretty magic when they came in & saw it all set up. Sandwiches on the bottom tray, baked savouries next up, cake up from that & the top tier were smaller fancy cakes & summer fruits.She & the kids had a great time so it was well worth the effort. Though they want me to do it again!It's not something you'll use every day, but for nice lunches & teas whether in the garden or inside it does look good, especially when fully laden. It'll also come in handy if putting out finger food at parties if space is at a premium as you're building up the way, rather than out.Disassembly was just as easy as was washing it up. It all went back into the box [which I'd saved to make storage easier] ready to be pulled out for another occasion. Looked after it'll sturdy enough that'll last for a good while & everyone had fun, pretty good value for £14.99 .

What a shame I’m still waiting for a refund of this item! Not only was I disappointed with the package of broken bits but I’m still waiting for my refund!

Love this cake stand! It comes packaged well in a cardboard box with the instructions written on the back of the box. It is quite simple to put together and only took about 5 minutes to do. The tiers look like glass but are actually made from a plastic material with same pattern on each tier. As it is plastic the whole stand is very light to carry and you don't have to be worried about breaking it yet it still looks upmarket when set up at the table. As it is made up of 4 tiers it goes pretty high and really makes it a nice statement piece. I put it in the middle of my table for my halloween party and I could fit plenty of stuff on it. The "metal" parts are silver in colour. It was really easy to clean after the party and you can easily dismantle and out it away. Overall, lovely cake stand that looks great at a party table or for afternoon tea. I have really enjoyed using it!
