So much more effective than other cleansers on the market
This was my first time using Bar Keepers Friend, as I've always used one of the other powdered cleansers on the market, sometimes with less than great results. I purchased this on the recommendation of a friend for getting stains off my white sink. It did an amazing job on first use! Some stains had been on the sink for years, no matter how much scrubbing I did. This product has the sink looking like new again.

Perfect for Stainless Steel & Sinks!
This cleaner works wonders on my stainless steel pots and pans- they look brand new when I finish polishing with this Bar Keepers Friend. I also recently figured out that it can be used to refinish porcelain. I am renting an old house (built in 1950) and it still has the original sink in the kitchen. The sink had lost all of its protective clear coating over the years and was absorbing anything that went into it, leaving bad stains (ie: coffee, wine, tomato sauce). I decided to try this Bar Keepers Friend in it and couldn't believe that I was able to get the sink perfectly clean with every bit of discoloration removed! After scrubbing with Bar Keepers, I then sealed the surface with a clear acrylic spray (I used this spray: Rust-Oleum 7701830 Stops Rust Spray Paint, 12-Ounce, Gloss Crystal Clear). The sink looks brand new now!As a side note, if you've never used this product before, I highly recommend wearing gloves when using it. Otherwise, your hands may become very dry and even peal (I learned this the hard way). Also, I've found that you get the best results if you use a wet sponge that has been wrung out (so that it's just damp) and apply the dry powder to it. If needed, add small amounts of water at a time until you get the desired consistency that you want. Tough stains/spots come off easiest if you have a paste-type consistency (almost like the consistency of toothpaste).

Works well
I use this product to clean the sinks and stove. It works very well. Easy to use. I use gloves because of sensitive hands, but I do not know if it is gentle on hands. Cleans well.

Where have you been my whole life...or at least the last 10 years of it
I cant believe it! For 10 years I have lived in this house and for 10 years I have tried everything I can think of to clean the bath effectively. (SUPER hard water, I live over a limestone water aquifer. Water so hard that the toilet is trash in 2-3 years if you don't service it and remove the buildup because water can't flow anymore) When I first moved in, realizing this is not "my dirt" in the tub, well it totally cree-EEEEE-EEeped me out!!! Forget the shower doors etc. Enough elbow grease and that I can get semi clean"ish" sure they have spots, but clean enough to not be creepy lol. I had these "brownish/black" dots on the bottom of my tub (the little non skid dots) that I could never scrub clean, now that is creepy!!! I even soaked the bottom of the tub in really strong bleach water once overnight when I moved in...I was desperate...never ever have they come clean before. Well I figured it must be a layer of lime scale "protecting" the dirt...so I tried CLR overnight, nothing. I got really desperate and tried hydrchloric acid...but did not let it sit long because I was afraid of eating the tub finish. (and know that I have only used natural cleaning supplies OR my commercial vapor steamer with distilled water for nearly 20 years minus these few desperate attempts...I really dislike chemicals, especially with their residue mixing with my bathwater, ewww.) I clean with vinegar sometimes too but knew that was no match for my hard water...even with pumice. Well, I bought this on a whim after reading the reviews...for the first time EVER the dots are pure white like the rest of the tub!!!! I actually thought the tiles on the wall had worn off the shiny surface coat from years of scrubbing, nope! It was scale that never came off (even with CLR AND OTHER ACID, nothing) They GLEAM now!!! My glass shower doors are actually SEE THROUGH with NO spots! I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! Granted, I used an entire can over 2 days, and let it soak mixed with biokleen soft scrub for nearly 24 hours on the shower walls and doors so it would cling...but remember its has been more than 10 years of buildup...it was like this when I moved in back then! (and I am doubting the previous owner ever cleaned) I am so so so happy, I can actually take a bath without feeling skeeved out now! I will upload pics later, I was so impressed I actually sent some to my husband at work and he thought I doctored the pics lol! For the record, it removes rust even easier! (I had a trash can in the bath that had a "stainless steel" look...well it corroded and left rust marks all over my tile I could not remove...yes, I tried all the above there too, I even let the hydrochloric acid sit on the tile for 30 minutes...nothing! Finally its all clean! YAYYYY!!!!)

Bar Keepers Friend Powdered Cleanser
This is my GO-To product for cleaning my stainless-steel sink and my porcelain sinks and toilets. I gave up on Ajax, Comet and other abrasive cleaning products in favor of this one which I like better. It cleans but is not real gritty and rinses away easily.

Best Stainless Steel Cleaner on the market
I have tried countless other products, but nothing has cleaned like this has. Just applying a thin layer of powder on the pan and then scrub with a wet brush does wonder. Of course you need some elbow grease but this stuff is wonderful, helps get all the burnt on oil stains and food bits off of pans and sheet pans. There is so much powder in a cylinder that it lasts for such a long time. Such a great value and quality product. I prefer it over the premixed package but that is also great.
