Best mini blender for single household, negative reviewer mostly make errors. pls read.
The item is great. I bought 3, 1 for my home, another one for van/mobile home and a 3rd for my holiday apartment abroad. Best thing ever, blends like a charm, super easy to clean.Now... crushing ice - in my opinion you should not crush those hard items in a plastic blender since by all logic it will scratch and it might even cause more damage.I have read the negative reviews and in 90% of all cases, those complaining about leaking well... put the damn ring inside. It only leaks if you fail to put the ring (i.e. if it got flushed out while cleaning), and those complaining about a smell, if you use it for too long (or with not enough liquid), then the engine will shut off to safety to avoid overheating. the engine and it might start to smell. Advice is to use enough liquid and don't run excessively long.Let it cool down completey and it should blend again. I noticed this while blending dates and dried plums with milk, the entire mass was simply too hard to blend.Hope this helps.I really like the easiness it can be cleaned, it all goes into the dishwasher.

PHILIPS MINI BLENDER 350Watt
This is a Bargain price on Sale £26 and the item is decent.. Good size base container and tumbler. But misleading.. Only the base is total 1L capacity, so meaning only around 700ml usable to leave room for the pressure to raise up when it spins. Tumbler included is only 600ml.but good product so far.

Great value, works well
This is really good value. Works well and blends smoothies and drinks really well. For frozen things it works well but I've found you need to add larger items (like ice cubes or frozen strawberries) first, then add the smaller items (like blueberries) next. If you put it all in at once the larger items get pushed up and don't reach the blades.Cleaning is easy and the footprint is small so it's great for smaller kitchens like ours. Why not five stars? The instructions are one big fold out leaflet and not easy to understand and could be improved. That might seem silly but it matters and they have good and important info in them.

Quality needs to be improved
I ordered the Philips Daily Collection Mini Blender and Smoothie Maker. The juicer itself is great – powerful, compact, and very convenient to use. However, the extra glass-type bottle (the on-the-go tumbler) that came with it turned yellow after just the second use. I’m quite disappointed with the quality of that bottle. It feels cheap and doesn’t match the standard of the main product. Philips should really improve the quality of the accessories.

Impressed!
This is honestly the best thing I’ve bought in a long while. No complaints at all. It’s even better than I thought it would be. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, it doesn’t take up much counter space if you have a small kitchen. My shakes take less than 20 secs to mix and I’m really excited about trying to use it to make smoothies. I was struggling to mix my shakes with a mixer cup because i have fibromyalgia but thanks to this little beauty I’ve solved that issues and been able to stay on my new healthy diet without a hitch. Really impressed by the price too. At £29.99 it definitely does not break the bank and I’m a glad I didn’t save up and pay extra for a nutribullet because this meets my needs at a fraction of the price. I’m really glad I gave it a chance as I wasn’t expecting much due to the price so it was a lovely surprise!

It's ok...
Purchase this for my son to make smoothies for his breakfast. It gets stuck quite a lot when he puts the fruit in so then he as to lift the lid and poke with a chopstick to try and move the stuff around. Don't know if the power isn't quite enough to chop up ice and chunks of fruit. You have to put a lot of liquid in to get it going. I would buy a more powerful blender next time. On the whole it's fine. It's a neat little product as I don't like big kitchen applies hanging around the kitchen I like to be able to put them in the cupboard and it fits just perfectly with my glasses and cups.

Excellent make/quality and so easy to clean
Their is only one thing wrong ? ( i really wish that i had purchased this sooner ). I was looking for a blender mainly to make smoothies and read reviews on this Philips one which helped , i really wished that i'd bought this sooner it's very easy to clean, not too noisy and the base is only just under 4 by 4 inches so neat and does'nt take up much room. It is very well made and of good quality and makes more than enough smoothie for me, it also comes with a travel beaker which is an added bonus, i highly recommend this Philips product.
