No Heartburn!!!
I enjoy waking up before the rest of my family. I like to sip my morning cup of coffee in a quiet house while catching up on emails and social media. It's my routine. I have GERD, but until recently, coffee didn't really affect that. Over the last few months though, I started getting heartburn after my morning coffee. I get heartburn from a lot of the foods that I eat, but getting it after my coffee was new to me. I did some research and discovered that there are coffees out there with lower acid, so I decided to give it a try. I chose the mocha java flavor only because it was lower priced. If they were priced similarly, I would have gone with a French vanilla or even one with no flavor, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I wasn't even sure would work. I usually add a lot of creamer and some whipped cream to my coffee, so the flavor isn't really a big deal anyway. This is whole bean, so my husband ground it for me and I put it in an air tight container. I didn't really notice a big mocha smell to the beans or ground coffee. It smelled a lot like coffee. I added my usual creamer and whipped cream to my fresh brewed coffee. The taste was mild. My teenage daughter who doesn't care for coffee unless it's in an iced blended coffee drink, liked this, too. And the best part of it was - I had no heartburn at all!!! I was afraid that I was going to have to give up drinking coffee, but now I don't! I can continue my morning routine! I am beyond thrilled to have found this.

Fills a special need very well, and I'd buy it again
I have medical reasons for avoiding caffeine and also for avoiding the acid level in most coffee beans. Puroast claims that roasting the beans in small batches-- and with relatively low heat-- allows the coffee to avoid a burnt flavor many people find bitter and to avoid much of the acid found in a brewed cup of coffee.Pros:-- When adding some form of milk (which is always a requisite for my enjoyment of coffee), I like the taste fine-- it does have a nice medium French roast taste with no bitterness-- I can enjoy a second cup without having that [to me] yucky acidic feeling, and so I do believe the info provided on the side of the product bag that says findings of a University of California at Davis study show this coffee has 70% less acid than most coffee-- The bag also says a UC Davis study reported that the slow roasting process increases the antioxidants such that there are 5 times more antioxidants in Puroast low acid decaf than in "leading" coffees and 7 times more than green tea. I have no way to verify this, but I can say that UC Davis has a highly respected agricultural research program, and I have no reason to doubt the quality of their research.Cons:-- I could not find on the bag or on Puroast's website what their process for removing caffeine is. I sent an email to their "info" email address a week ago asking about it, and I have not yet heard back. I have to guess it is not the Swiss Water Process that is generally more favored health-wise. On the one hand, how caffeine is removed may become an issue for me, but on the other hand, if I drink decaf coffee at coffee shops and restaurants, which I do, I know nothing about the decaffeination process used in those cases either-- If you only enjoy coffee black without some milk or cream product, like my husband, you may not find the taste to be just like other coffee and you may be disappointed with the productAll-in-all, in this product's case, I'm inclined to believe that the high antioxidant measurement reflects that whatever their way of decaffeinating is, it nevertheless yields a product with substantial health benefits.

True to its description, low acid and doesn’t bother me
I tried different flavors and caf vs decaf of this brand and would continue buying due to its low acid nature.

Not good.
When I took a scoop of coffee to put in my pot there were white pieces in the scoop which I threw out, but should have kept. I never saw anything like this before and wish to return the bag of coffee.. The pieces looked like kernals of something, at first I thought it was worms!

Low acid and delicious
This is a great option for anyone needing a low acid, decaf coffee. This makes a great cup of delicious, full bodied coffee. It would be great if it was organic as well..

Best tasting coffee I've ever had. Smoof.
I would not say I am a gourmet coffee kind of person, but this is one of the best tasting coffees I have ever had. I don't particulary care for strong coffee, and this coffee is really smooth without losing flavor or tasting watered down. OK. I have purchased Barney's Coffees, Starbucks (there are four of them within ten minutes from where I live), and subscribed to Gevalia for a while. I can always add the fancy flavors with the cream, but this is the best basic brew I've can remember. Worth the asking price. Highly recommend.I didn't even know what low acid meant until I tasted my first cup. If you have a bad stomach I guess that's important. I just go for the smooth taste.Just too bad you can't click on one of the little arrows like you do in the music department to get a 15 second sample.

Still bothered my reflux
The taste was decent, far better than the Folgers Decaf gentle stomach... but 3 days in I had to stop using it. It bothered my acid reflux. Pretty pricy too.
