Works wonderfully and protects the hardware
This case fits the pi camera perfectly. You must be careful and not get impatient. It is a somewhat tight fit but this is what makes it a good fit.

Perfect With a Minor Adjustment
Bought this for my Raspberry Pi setup. Liked the clear plastic to see the camera module. The camera module did not fit exactly onto the plastic standoffs. It would work as is, but I'm a tinkerer so I shaved some off with an Exacto knife and now it seats perfectly. The case snaps close with little tabs at top and bottom. But, they are not that strong so any bumping etc. tends to pop the case open. I mounted mine to a mini tri-pod and its working great.

It works, mostly.
I have bought this twice now. It's ok.The picture does not represent how the camera actually sits in the case. I'm not sure if that's a picture from the v1 camera or not, but both purchases of this case resulted in the same "fit". The camera sits snug enough against the case that the case doesn't interfere with the photo, but it is not snug and centered. The case sits flush against the base of the camera lens. This interferes with using any of those magnetic slip on lens adapters because it adds distance between the camera and the lens.It does come with a sticky pad so it attaches easily to whatever and does have the screw holes for permanent mounting. There was about six months between purchases so it should have been different batches. So I can't simply write it off as a bad batch.

Absolute Garbage
If it was possible to give negative reviews I would. This case is actually worse than garbage. Because of it's poor design it not only doesn't hold the camera right but it will actually damage the camera. It holds the camera in place not with small screws but with posts that the camera sits on in the front piece and a post on the back piece that "pushes" the camera forward. If you don't have the camera perfectly positioned and try to put the back on, that post will damage the connections on the back breaking the camera.DO NOT BUY THIS CASE. The $ you save are not worth it.

The build quality is also good for the price
I was concerned from the other reviews if this case will fit the camera module or not. To my relief it fit perfectly. It holds the camera module snug and has a little slit for the ribbon cable to pass through. The build quality is also good for the price. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend.

Not up to specifications as noted
As many before have said the camera doesn't sit well in the pegs allowing the camera to be placed correctly in the opening. I could probably alter it but should it not just work as it was intended to? I would strongly suggest not buying this case and look for something else...better yet create your own which is what I will be doing...

Lucky me, the camera fit perfectly with no modifcation needed to the case.
I was pleasantly surprised when the camera that came with my "Raspberry Pi Ultimate Camera Kit -- Includes Raspberry Pi Model B+ Board --5MP Camera Board Module and 15 Essential Accessories" fit without modification to the case. (It was actually a total pain to get the RPI B+ board in the case that came with that kit.)I read the reviews and figured the first thing I'd have to do was mod the case. I'm a hobbiest with dremels and xactos and such so I figured it would be no big deal when people said you had to cut it to get the lens to line up with the hole. But I snapped it in and it fit perfectly. (I do not know if there are multiple manufacturers for the RPi camera module so I don't know if there may be other cameras that almost identical but won't line up perfectly.)I did put a 1/2" piece of clear tape over the top to make sure it doesn't accidentally pop open. It is true that the click close isn't that stiff.I kinda think $8 is a bit steep for a itty plastic box. But without an easy alternative and not wanting the board open on my desk, I figure it was worth it.

Nice camera kit
Really nice little case to go along with the camera I bought in a kit. Fits good and comes with two mounting screws and some double-sided tape to allow you a choice of mount options.
