Comfortable & does the job
My husband said it was a little bit off in assembling. He had to re-drill holes becausethey weren't correctly lined up. Using the chair to assist my 90 year old parent has beenreally appreciated by her. The chair is comfortable and compliments the basin I purchasedfor washing her hair.

Very nice chair once you get it built
This chair looks great. And seems sturdy for the price I am pleased. It is not easy to assemble. My son is a carpenter and put it together. We had read the reviews that spoke of too short or too long screws. So, he was prepared to have to purchase some hardware. The price for this chair is decent and I would probably 5 star it if there were better assembly instructions, the screws were the correct size and the safety nuts actually didn't explode on tightening. Our experience with this build left my very mechanically minded, blue print reading son having to reassemble several areas. Once he saw what was happening he finished it quickly, but, this could have been avoided with a simple label of right or left arm of chair. The side arms of the chair actually do have a left and right side. If you put them on the wrong side the screws are too short. The correct placement will allow the screw heads to recess into outside edge of the chair. Look for the recessed screw holes before aseembly. Then, if you position them correctly the screws will be long enough to secure the chair. The lower screws will extend a bit farther than the top and when you tighten the safety nuts the heads may break due to the screw being too long for the cap.So, either just tighten those to the point where they cover the end for safety or you can add another nut to take up the extra space. My son also broke the safety caps on the sides of the chair as those were too long and he said they were way too cheap so we will just replace them. The seat is very thick but not padded and is not at all well cushioned. OK... it is plain hard...but I figure for the purpose it is OK. It's not meant to be long term seating. When we first assembled it the chair did not want to slide back into the fully reclined position. But, my son realized the glide was not in position. When he continued to push it backward it popped into place and now does recline fully. It is still a little stiff so we are going to wax it. When my son, who is a pretty big guy, sat on the seat it did not slide as easy, but, he did find if he raised his knees and pushed with his toes the seat slid back easy. So, if someone who is heavier is using it you could instruct them to kind of lift themselves up and push back so it will work more smoothly. We read all the reviews and were not sure but we took the chance and all in all feel we chose a option that works for us. Not the best chair but it looks like it is sturdy and for $100 bucks, I'm satisfied.

Exactly what I wanted
I purchased this chair to be able to wash and dye my 84 year old mother's hair from home. Going to the beauty salon is no longer an option for us. This chair reclines beautifully and is the right height to line up to her salon style sink. I was a bit nervous based on the reviews, but then all the salon chairs I looked at had similar reviews, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I'm glad I did. There was one review that helped me for assembly; it mentioned that there is a right and left arm. The parts aren't labeled and the instructions are basically worthless. That being said, there are only 5 parts to assemble. Common sense and a photo of the finished product is all you need. The hardware was correct. I had no issues with bolts being too long or too short. I'd recommend this chair.

Love this chair!
I recently purchased this chair. It is heavy and seems to be very good quality. It automatically glides back when someone sits in it. I don't like the chairs with a lever that has to be used to make them recline because they can jerk giving the client a jolt. I don't understand the more negative reviews on this chair because so far I am very pleased with it. I plan to order at least one more just like it. I did not do the assembly-----a relative put it together for our salon. I heard no complaints from him on assembling it---so I am pretty sure it wasn't difficult to put together. No complaints here, especially for the price!!!

wrong hardware
Nice chair except that the screws to attach the leg supports (which are tapered) are too short! They barely make it through the bottom hole so that I can attach the screw cap (forget about the nut) and they are not long enough on the top holes to even go all the way through. They're all the same length, so it's not a question of using the wrong ones. It's almost like the wrong ones were put in the box. Rather inconvenient that I will have to provide my own screws in order to set this chair up correctly.
