Super product
Love it! I am experienced on piano and accordion. Bought the 37 key. I use the flexible blow tubes to allow two hands on the keyboard on my lap or desk or table Reeds have excellant tone frequency accuracy and consistancy and quality. And longievity.Of course, blowing is much easier when only pressing one key, much harder effort when playing multiple simultaeous keys.A fun instrument! Great quality. Great price. I have no desire to replace it with a more expensive better name brand.Of course you can't sing and play at the same time.It is less expensive than a high-quality harmonica, and certainly much more flexible in the complexity and variety of musical styles!??how can you buy extra flexible blow tubes??A highly recommended instrument and brand!!Recommended for musicians at all levels of experience, including no experience!May require too much blowing effort for children under 5.

This thing is a blast !
It arrived quickly, minimal (as in just right and not too much) packaging.Nice carry bag for the price. I would have preferred just a little bit more padding, but I really can't complain. One key is squeaky, which I may try to fix sometime. From what I've read, it is a good idea to open up the instrument regularly to clean it (every 2 or 3 uses? Haven't figured that out.) Although not a huge deal to disassemble the thing (I've only watched a couple of videos online), it would be nice if opening the thing didn't involve screws and screwdriver. I have no idea, though, what would be convenient yet robust enough to last (and not open by accident.)The keys feel firm/solid, the instrument is super portable. For such an inexpensive instrument, I am very impressed. The thing sounds terrific and is a super instrument to learn music theory (notes, scales, chords, transposing, etc. etc.)I've only had it a few days. I'll try and update this review in 3-6 months after having had some decent experience with it.

The perfect gift for anyone musical.
I am just delighted with the Eastar 37 keys. Base F3 below C4 to Treble F6 gives you all you need for the Treble Clef. The keys are a tad thinner than regular piano keys, and for someone like me who has big hands, I had no problem playing the notes. Delightful sound, like a mouth organ or or piano acordian . I am learning keyboard and sight reading, so I can put the Eastar into it's handy carry bag it weighs just under 2 lbs , or 52 Gs if your metric, and go to the park or to the beach and play like I would a regular keyboard. I just love it, well designed, and so easy to play a great gift for anyone from 7 to 77 ( which is my age ) . It comes with a mouth piece which is d etachable, I found with blowing through the mouth piece, the keys were hard to see, but with the two expandable 22 " ( 54 cm ) blowing tubes, it was easy to place the keyboard on a table and play like a regular keyboard, just breathing normally in and out. Great valuew for money. and FUN ๐๐ถ

Very good quality, at a super affordable price point
I had a Hohner melodica for a few years and now that my kids are getting older they want to play with all of my instruments (Ukes, Guitars, Drums, etc.) so I am always looking for affordable versions of the same instruments which they can play with without me worrying about them breaking my more expensive ones. On the search of a new melodica I ran across this one, which is around one third of the $ I paid for mine. Lately I have been betting on these Chinese brands who are just starting on the market (I own several instruments from the Donner brand which are absolutely fantastic in quality and cost). I have a theory that they are likely made in the same factories as the name branded ones. This melodica is a prime example of that theory. They look and feel exactly the same. Someone mentioned that his unit was out of tune, I did not experience that at all, and I must say that they are identical in craftsmanship and quality. I will post some side by side photos here so that you can compare. The things that I really like:- The spring action on the keys are spot on with a nice balance while not being too soft yet very comfortable to play. It tells me that it will likely las a while- The extra mouthpiece which allows you to use the melodica in a flute like position in addition to the hose which makes it possible to play on your lap like a mini piano- The Gig bag is super nice with both a handle and a shoulder strap- The sound holes are on the top of the instrument which projects the sounds much better than my other one which has the holes on the bottomThings that I don't like:- Though I do not use it while playing (I prefer to hold the onto the body). The only thing that bothers me is the hand strap which is also the case on my current one. It does not feel sturdy enough for a lot of handling.Overall, if I knew about this Eastar brand when I got my first expensive one and of the quality of its build I would have definitely gone for it, especially at its price point. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a melodica. I hope this helps your shopping as I wish there was a review like it when I was looking for mine. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below the review and I will do my best to answer it. Cheers!
