This puzzle has tons of extremely tiny pieces that break very easily.. As a matter of fact almost every step in the instructions says be careful because parts are very fragile. Only plus side is some of the more fragile parts have extra pieces.. If you don't have extreme patience and excellent problem solving skills I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.. While putting together the first barrel I had to stuff a sock in it to keep the pieces spread apart to get the end cap on. If you want to take the challenge of this puzzle I would recommend sanding all the connection points before assembly.. Save yourself a huge headache and many broken parts.

I have done a lot of these kits from several different companies. This one is one of the better ones. But because of the way the barrel sections are put together it takes a little more patience than normal. This company does a better job than most of the others in making the parts easy to remove from the sheets without them falling out to easily. My only complaint is that they are still putting the part numbers on some of the pieces instead of next to them. But when the project is done only one of them shows and only if you are looking at the underside.

This was a really fun build. I love this kind of stuff. It's pretty fun too that it has an actual lens and everything. It's a little scary to pull the pieces out of their wood holders, for fear of breaking something. The instructions are pretty good, there were a couple times when I wasn't 100% sure if I was doing it right. All in all, it looks cool and is a fun addition to my husbands office.
