These type of switches are very useful for switching circuits from one power source to another. They have a good rating of usually 15 to 20 amps and 600 volts. I use them to switch some of my home circuits from grid to solar and vice versa. The usual shunts out there are very expensive. With a little wiring know how and this switch you can do the same thing for a lot less. I build boxes for them which need to be larger that a traditional electrical box since they are a bit bulky. However, they are very good switches. One drawback is there are no instructions or they are in some other language. Thus, to determine where to place the wires and what connects to what, I use a multimeter and look at the resistance. If there is resistance then the circuit is not connected. If resistance reads 0, then the circuit is connected.

Used to reverse rotation on an AC motor. Works great. Plenty of tabs and I used all of them. Motor had 4 wires. 1 neutral , 4 line, and 2 and 3 switch N and L depending on rotation.So took a bit of planning to feed line to 4 and 2 in position 1, 4 and 3 on position 2. And the same with neutral. 1 and 3 on position 1 and 1 and 2 on position 2. Switch in the middle keeps all disconnected

Instruction diagram is a bit vague. I double checked with ohm meter. It works well
