Good strings
Amazing strings that last a long time. Helps generate topspin and just a good feel. Good price too.

I like this string! played well from the start
Only played one match with this so far, strung it low 45-42 in a Wilson Shift (3.5 male) - 17 gauge - like the control and access to spin - serves seem ok. I string myself - this was a decent string to work with - didn't stretch excessively when tensioning.I think next time i will try the soft version - always worry about causing elbow issues playing poly. my suggestion is don't string it above 52 in any frame - give lower a shot. Had NXT @ 55 in the racquet before - it was ok but sounded funny sometimes. (with a dampener)see how long it lasts.

Great strings
I really like these string. I am already on my third set of the same brand and type, only I tried different gauges. I liked them all, they feel very comfortable and are rather durable. I am not a pro player, and I rarely change strings unless they break, but that being said I enjoyed playing with these until the very last moment when they did break. I think they help a bit with the spin, especially the larger gauges (thinner strings), and they deliver quite a bit of power as well - even my girlfriend who is not incredibly strong nor incredibly trained in tennis can hit some pretty fast shots with a lot of spin on them as well.

Very happy with these strings, closest poly you'll find to the feel of gut.
(Review from the husband)First, about my play-style. I'm a taller, harder hitting player and I spend a majority of the match on the baseline. I've never had a problem generating power, but was looking for a little more spin and control on my shots. I've played with gut strings a few times in the past and liked it, but durability was a problem and I'm too busy to keep getting my racket strung, so I typically play poly. After some research, I decided to buy these strings and I've been very happy with the results. The strings are pretty soft, and you'll instantly notice how much more top-spin you're able to generate. I've really enjoyed the extra spin I get on my shots now, and these poly strings are the closest you'll get to the feeling of gut strings. The one drawback I've noticed is that I have lost a little power on my shots. I've now been swinging a little harder to recoup some of my lost speed, but you'll have confidence swinging harder because of the extra top spin.Would definitely recommend these strings to fellow tennis players, and I hope this review helps.

Good but not great
I’m a 35 year old 4-4.5 all-court player with semi-western forehand and OHBH. I hit 100+ on first serves and 60ish on kickers. Strung this at 55 mains, 49 crosses on a leaded Wilson Blade v7 18x20. My go-to string for this racquet has been Signum Pro Plasma Hextreme 1.25 (which actually has a higher spin rating and is softer) but I wanted to FINALLY try Hyper-G. Because of the tight string pattern I chose the 18 to open the strings up for more grip (spin) on the ball. I’ve been using the Hyper-G for about ten hours now and I might end up going back to the Plasma Hextreme…The sweet spot has decreased considerably and I’m experiencing some slight arm pain (never experienced it before and I used to string my racquets with a Kevlar/gut hybrid) during longer serve practices that I didn’t get from the Hextreme. The Hyper-G also has some slight movement in the strings whereas Hextreme seemed to be locked in and I don’t think I ever had to adjust them. That being said, I’ve hit quite a few balls with the Hyper-G that just had absolutely insane topspin and I’m noticing more movement on my slice and kick serves which has been nice. The strings definitely take a few hours to really settle and soften. I honestly hated playing with them for the first 2 hours but that’s probably more of a case of finding the correct tension more so than the strings themselves. Once the tension dropped I started noticing better ball pocketing and a great feeling sweet spot. At approx 10 hours I’m getting slight notching but no breakage which is decent for an 18 gauge poly these days so I’m assuming durability is pretty good. They look cool in the Blade but cool looks don’t win matches.Overall I gave them a 4/5 because of the off-center harshness and resulting arm pain. There are softer polys that can provide more spin out there if you’re strictly looking for spin but Hyper-G isn’t a bad string for a beginner/intermediate player looking to capitalize on improvements made in their swing and I think a sub-50 lb string tension would probably be best for those players.

I've been converted to the Hyper-G Cult
Where can I begin with this string? I got the 17 Gauge at 50 lbs - Here's how it went:1. The first 60 minutes of using this string, coming from a Babolat RPM I immediately thought "This is the biggest mistake I've ever made. JESUS are these strings STIFF and hard on the arm! I thought my shoulder was going to fall off after playing with this. First string that gave me such intense pain after playing. The spin was so intense that a lot of my shots were getting caught by the net, I had to adjust my swing path to make this string reach the opponent's baseline. It's very low powered and had to muscle through the ball to get some depth.2. Three days after using it for the first time, I noticed the strings felt a lot better, softer and gripped the ball a lot better. My shots got faster, with increased control and direction.3. Two days after that, I'm in love with these strings. I got the hang of it and now my slice serve is an actual weapon. The balls are curving and landing hard, cutting quickly to the sides, my opponents are really having a hard time returning that serve. After the first use, I almost ripped them off my racket to go back to the RPM's... but now that they settled in, these might just be the best strings I've ever used. Let's see how long they hold before needing a replacement.
