“It is real! I promise you!”
During a recent hospital ICU stay I found myself in quite a bit of [gas] pain one night. Long story short, I insisted to my nurse that this was what I needed.. She told me that in her 13 years of nursing she had never heard of such a thing [and therefore there was no such device]. The nurse then gave me a dose of Dilaudid and sent me to La-La Land… I sent this device along with a bouquet of flowers to the nursing station.
