A must have for the Summer.
I live in Florida and it gets SO extremely hot. I have cats that love to sit out on the screened in porch but normal fans are not enough and the ceiling fan is not enough to keep them cool. So I bought this for the front porch. It is HUGE. And I thought because of this it would be really loud and scare my cats but to my surprise it's not. It puts out A LOT of air. And so far I've just used the regular fan function and not the cooling part. I will try that this afternoon when it gets really hot. But the fan ALONE makes a HUGE difference in the tempature. And the swing feature keeps the air flowing and covers the entire screened lanai. I am so glad I bought this. To be honest I kind of thought it was a scam like how is ice and water going to make that much of a difference? The ice will melt in 5 seconds here in Fl. But like I said I haven't even used the cooling function yet and the fan alone is worth the money. I can see why they say it's industrial strength not because it's so big but it really puts out a lot of air. And makes a HUGE difference in the temperature here in Florida. I LOVE it!!! And my cats love it. They can sit out on their porch and be comfortable. And I don't have to worry about them getting to hot. It gives peace of mind. Don't hesitate to buy this. It's NOT a scam. UPDATE: July 5, 2023 yesterday I tried the cooling feature. I use cold ice water from the fridge when I add water and I bought extra ice packs because there so small. And I change them out regularly. I've also filled zip lock bags full of ice. So I can keep adding ice like every 2 hours. That sounds like a lot aggravation to stay cool but the feel like temp yesterday was 100 here in Fl. So in weather like this if you want to feel a cool breeze keep adding ice water and or ice. As I mentioned I got this for my cats so they can sit on the porch but at any time they can come in and go out. However even with this and it does cool things off but with feel like temp getting to 100 I bring them inside and close the porch door so they can't go out. Even if it cools the temp down by 10 degrees or so? 90 is still to hot for ANY fur baby to be outside. This is extreme weather we have in Fl. in the summer months. So if you live in other states this will work even better for you. I LOVE this and I am so glad I got it. I am Very pleased. And my cats are pleased.

Cools Well as Long as it is Perfectly Level
I purchased the MEPTY 3531 CFM Swamp Cooler, Evaporative Air Cooler with Continuous Auto Fill to help cool my gazebo area as well as my patio area. Since it is on rollers, it is fairly easy to move it from one area to the other. What I found is that it cools well as long as it is PERFECTLY LEVEL.Since I am using the unit outside, the pavers I have the unit on are slightly sloped away from the house for drainage. Because of that, the way the cooler is constructed on top, the water tends to wet two of the three sides. The "high side" does not get wet, thus reducing the efficiency of the unit. This draws in warm, dry air on the dry pad side, defeating some of the cooling effect. I was able to remedy this by buying some thin plywood and shimming up the low side in order to level out the cooler. Once that was done, the cooler worked much better.Overall I think the MEPTY 3531 CFM Swamp Cooler, Evaporative Air Cooler with Continuous Auto Fill. I hope they can remedy the issues with having to have the cooler perfectly level, as many people will have a slight slope where they intend to use the unit.

Not great quality but does the job
**Update***I am impressed with their customer service. After I left 2 star review, they contacted me by themselves and made it right. I am happy!**Old Review**The Patio Swamp Cooler, designed to offer relief during hot, dry summer months, initially seems like a promising solution for outdoor cooling needs. With its user-friendly controls and robust build, one might expect this to be a winner. However, the unit disappointingly fails to fully deliver on several counts. The cooling capacity of the unit is commendable. It manages to lower the temperature significantly in an outdoor setting, adding comfort to any patio area. This is particularly impressive given that swamp coolers, unlike traditional air conditioners, can struggle with outdoor use. This cooler's ability to create a comfortable microclimate even in the face of scorching heat is its greatest strength.Unfortunately, the promising performance is let down by various design flaws. First, the ice packs, which are meant to enhance the cooler's efficiency, have a tendency to leak. This not only leads to water waste but also potentially damps the surrounding area, posing a slipping hazard.Secondly, there's an issue with the orientation of the front blades. Instead of holding a straight alignment for optimal airflow, they sag downwards. This flaw drastically hinders the cooler's ability to distribute air evenly, affecting the overall cooling experience. I found a workaround by wedging a piece of wood between the blades, but it's a nuisance to do and something you shouldn't need to rig in a well-designed product.Lastly, the most glaring issue is the faulty water mechanism, which is meant to automatically cut off water supply once the base reservoir is full. Sadly, it doesn't seem to function as intended, leading to water overflowing. This necessitates constant monitoring and manual intervention, diminishing the convenience factor of the product. In summary, while the Patio Swamp Cooler does offer substantial cooling capacity, the presence of design flaws - leaky ice packs, downward-sagging front blades, and a non-functioning water cut-off mechanism - all result in a product that fails to live up to expectations. Its significant cooling ability is overshadowed by the inconveniences and hazards posed by its design shortcomings. Unfortunately, until these issues are rectified, it's difficult to give this product a higher rating.

Not worth the amount I paid
First when I had opened it the base was broken. The crack was all the way from the bottom to the top and the back panel was dented pretty bad. I was going to send it back but that day it was hot and I fixed it it's what i do. But the over all quality the materials used are cheap id expect it if it were a 100 to 150 dollars but upward of 300 to 400 I expected better constructed product. I spent 4 hours repairing this thing and it works but can see where the failure will be and won't be long until it will. I give it 60 days and I'll be either returning it or upgrading the parts to real ones
