Perfect Display Case
I think this is an excellent display case.Delivery:This thing is heavy. It was packaged in a cardboard box outer layer with an inner wooden frame and foam. The glass panels were wrapped in plastic. Very well packaged. It actually comes in two boxes. One box was lost by UPS because it was put on the wrong truck, I called to complain and they brought it to me later the same day thankfully. I didn't want to wait until Monday to assemble.Assembly:Assembling this case is fairly straight forward. I found that building it laying on its back was easiest since I didn't have a helper. The two back panels need to be joined together and then slid into the top and bottom wood pieces. I pressed one end against the wall and the other end I held in place. The panels came with numbered stickers to tell you which panel is which. Some were easy to remove, some needed to have the residue scrubbed off. Obviously the glass will be a fingerprint magnet!Be sure to install the little white washers on both side of each hole before inserting the screws. I find that if the holes didn't line up, that flipping the glass panel around fixed the problem.I really like the adjustable feet. My house is old and nothing is straight, so the adjustable feet make it possible to level the display cabinet so that it is wobble-free.I added LED strip lights behind each shelf to make a really cool glowing effect.Problems:A few screws were missing. The company responded quickly and sent me more than I needed really quickly. The doors are hard to align and the metal bits for the corners of the doors are not well explained in the instructions. I still think I haven't aligned the doors correctly.Final thoughts:The keys for each unit are different, I was surprised by that as many times cheaper locks I bought all used the same key.The hardware is good quality. The wood panels are basic and could be improved but are adequate for the unit. The glass is thick and very good quality.I think it would be possible to add metal brackets to the shelf brackets to make different heights possible, or even add additional shelves. But that would take some custom work and I don't think you can buy extra shelves seperately. It would be nice, though.I would love to buy a third shelf unit, honestly! I love the look and overall presentation of the units. My kids have bumped them and thrown toys at them and yet they survived.I do worry they may explode one day and cause me a lot of grief, but so far so good! I've never had a shower door explode on me so I how I have good luck with these shelves.Don't forget to attach the tip over strap to the wall!!

No regrets buying it, glad I didn't let the negative reviews scare me off.
I read lots of negative reviews about this being difficult to assemble, the sides not fitting in the top/bottom, the slots not cut correctly, it was hard to assemble, and not very good instructions so I was hesitant about purchasing, especially since I was using a gift card my wife gave me. I'm not really sure why these were negative, maybe the mfg. quality has improved, but I had no issues with any of these. It assembled by myself it in a couple of hours and could have done it faster if I really wanted or had an extra pair of hands. Really, a lot of the assembly time was me adjusting the doors to get a perfect gap all around, not that they didn't fit well, but I'm just picky/anal and the adjustment is easy to keep tweaking to get perfect gaps. Everything fit well, all the slots for the glass in the top/bottom lined up good and fit with no problem, and the lock lined up perfectly in its slot. Once assembled, it was solid, did not want to tip, the doors opened and closed well, everything was nice and square, the shelves fit perfect, and it looks great. Now, were the instructions the best...no, but I've seen a LOT worse for "assembly required" furniture from big box stores. Take your time, pay attention to the labels on the panels and the orientation of all the parts, and you'll be fine. Just remember each bolt/screw that goes through the glass needs a white plastic washer on both sides of the glass. I'm glad I didn't let the negative reviews scare me off and pass on it. It is a great value, great quality, and solid. I'll not hesitate about buying another one once I fill this one up with the WW2 scale models and dioramas I build. Highly satisfied!

Amber Glass?
I was hesitant to purchase this, because of all the bad reviews stating its difficult to assemble. I decided to go with the lighted coffee version, since there were no reviews for it. Took the chance and I must say it was a good decision. I don't think I've ever seen an "amber" glass cabinet before this, and I love how it displays in my living room. It's very elegant.---As far as specs.-Its about your standard cabinet size.-The amber glass effect is a tint, not the actual glass color as it can be scratched off (if you try hard enough). It is quite dark. YOU WILL NEED LIGHT if you purchase the tinted cabinet.-The assembly wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The only issue was the "bolts" that hold the shelves in place. You have to practically assemble the bolts using its bare factory parts; which gets annoying when you have to assemble 20+ of them. It had me questioning why this wasn't done pre-assembly? I-The lighting is not quite what I was expecting. I was hoping that it came with some pre installed round light fixtures; however this just happened to be two battery operated puck lights that you sticky-tack on the ceiling. This is okayish for like a day or two but the puck lights dim and eventually run out of battery after 2 days of use. I got tired of spending money on double A batteries so I went and installed strip lights which made a difference.-Its very sturdy.Colored LED lights look fantastic behind the amber cabinet and really makes my Godzilla figures look way less like a trauma response. (Don't judge me). It's not in your face, because the tint darkens whatever you place inside. This cabinet would be great for storing cigars or fancy liquor. Overall this is a good cabinet with some annoying assembly. I'd say its worth your money and time.

Use two people to assemble.
This comes in two boxes, the first order came completely smashed, no intact glass. The second order arrived without any issues. It goes together easy but I would suggest having a second person to help hold the glass when starting to attach the sides to the base and top. You can do it alone, but a second person to hold it straight would help a lot. Once together it is sturdy and nice looking. I like it. Shipping w/o Prime is expensive however.
