A hidden gem
I call it a hidden gem since I had not heard about it before and I stumbled upon it searching for a Network steamer available in India on Google search. This is a very good device for several reasons which I find useful.1. It's a very good network steamer, can setup Spotify and Amazon Music on this2. It supports Airplay 1 which supports lossless streaming3. It has an inbuilt DAC, the sound signature of which I personally like. If you don't like it, then you may feed it's digital output to another DAC of your liking which can in turn feed your Amp/Powered speaker setup4. It has multiple digital and analog input and output likeAnalog line in and out, Digital coaxial In and Out, Optical In and Out5. It has a USB input as well but I've not explored it much5. A fully functional and handy IR remote with good rangeAlthough the DAC Chip inside might be a generation or 2 old, but still the sound signature is very good. The only dislike is the 4 Stream App, but like someone suggested, use the4Stream app for setup then WIIM Home app for the regular day to day use and you're good.Overall, I love this N/W steamer and may buy another one for my other setup.

Gem of a device, needs work on the app
I'm using this to stream Airplay through my iOS devices and also bring in an aux input from my TV. Occasionally, I connect on Bluetooth using aptX through my Samsung S10. Also supports a USB drive with wav, flac and mp3 files. Claims to connect to a NAS drive for streaming music, though I have not explored this option. Included remote is full featured and offers source selection, bass, treble and volume controls. The deep bass option is lots of fun, but needs the right kind of speaker to be connected for the full experience. Have not tried the optical input yet. Works beautifully through the remote. The iOS app, while useful still needs some work. Overall, great product at a fantastic price.

Good; but not without its flaws | Not for Lossless/Hi-Res music
I originally gave this device a “strictly average” 3-star rating, but after having listened to it for a few days now streaming Apple Music Lossless (24-bit/48kHz) over AirPlay from an iOS device, I felt that despite all its limitations – for the analog output that it delivers – it deserves a 3.5-star rating of being “good enough” for CD-quality audio, and hence have changed the rating to 4-stars.This is essentially a re-badged version of a product called the Arylic S50 Pro+ made by a company called Rakoit Technology Co. seemingly being OEM-ed and resold by Auris under the Audifi name.Build quality and fit & finish are good for the price, although it is recommended to use a better quality 12V 1A power adapter than the cheap one that comes in the box. It will go a long way in reducing the noise floor. In addition to being a wireless music streamer, flexibility of wired input options (Ethernet, S/PDIF Coaxial & Optical) is one of the strengths of this device – so the onboard DAC can be used for other input devices like CD players and TVs too.Despite using a relatively old ESS 9023 DAC, the sound quality from the analog output is good – and is comparable to CD-quality.Although it is not as detailed and resolving as some of the more recent DAC chips from ESS (9028/9038) or AKM (4490/4493) found in entry-level DACs from the likes of Schiit, Topping, and SMSL – and lacks the dynamic range of these newer DACs - the sound is very pleasant with an “analog or musical” tint to it, and never gets fatiguing over long listening sessions. The trade-off is that the sound lacks that sparkle & energy in the treble region that we now hear in more modern DACs, and it evident to me that the highs are a bit rolled-off here. But on the whole, as long as the expectation is to get a “musical” CD-quality output, the device will be good enough for most – as long as you are not pursuing audiophile-grade Hi-Res quality.Having said that, there are quite a few fundamental flaws that initially prompted me to give this product a “strictly average” 3-star rating.First, there is the frustrating 4Stream app that is must for setting up this device and managing streaming services. It’s a very rudimentary and unintuitive app which, by the looks of it, seemed to be designed originally for iOS and was then ported to Android. It is a replica of the WiiM Home app made by Linkplay Technology Inc. that makes and sells streamers under the WiiM brand name. The app works alright on iOS but is buggy and a nightmare to use on Android. A much better alternative is to use the WiiM Home app, which is much better designed & maintained. This product works seamlessly with that app.Second, there is the limitation associated with the digital (Coaxial & Optical) outputs of this device. Even though the DAC chip is capable of decoding Hi-Res digital audio signals up to 24-bit/192kHz, the digital output that it gives from its Optical/Coaxial outputs is only 16-bit/44.1kHz (CD-quality).This means that if one wants to try to improve the SQ of this device by connecting it to an external DAC – streaming Lossless (up to 24-bit/48 kHz) or Hi-Res (up to 24-bit/192 kHz) – this device will “dumb” the output down to 16-bit/44.1 kHz (CD-quality) before sending it an external DAC. This seems to be a limitation of the Arylic Up2Stream Pro wireless receiver board they use inside this device.Third, although this device supports aptXHD, it does not support LDAC. This means one cannot leverage the higher bitrate supported by LDAC to stream Apple Music Lossless from Android. There is no native support for Apple Music in this device, and the only way to stream Apple Music thru WiFi is via AirPlay. So, the only option for Android users to stream Lossless from Apple Music on Android is through Bluetooth. And for that, while aptXHD is good, LDAC would have been great to have. While there are quite a few streaming services supported by this device, for us in India, the only one offering Lossless streaming is Apple Music, so that lack of LDAC support is a bummer for Android users.Amazon Music and Spotify are supported natively, so if you don’t want Lossless/Hi-Res, then this will work fine. However, Chromecast is not supported – and as a consequence, YouTube Music is not supported. Bluetooth is the only option for that.Fourth, since this device uses a very old Linkplay A31 WiFi module inside, it does not support 5GHz wireless. The trouble with 2.4GHz is that it is the spectrum used by almost everything in the house (including Bluetooth devices) and hence is very susceptible to interference. I kept experiencing occasional interruptions and dropouts while playing music from my phone due to this. The problem of occasional stuttering & dropouts is also due to the fact that this supports AirPlay 1 (which lacks buffering capabilities) and not AirPlay 2. However, on the flip side, the choice of AirPlay 1 turns out to be a blessing in disguise because that allows one to stream Lossless ALAC from Apple Music. AirPlay 2, while much improved in most other aspects, does not support ALAC streaming for Apple Music, and falls back on AAC. Mysterious are the ways of Apple. Finally, there is the question of value for money. With all the aforesaid limitations, at INR 14.5K (USD 179), I am not sure if this is really value for money. There is the excellent FiiO BTA30 Pro Bluetooth receiver available for INR 10K in India that supports LDAC, has a much better DAC chip, and offers the same digital input/output options. For Android users who want to stream Lossless from Apple Music, that seems to be a much better option. There is also Auris’ own bluMe Pro Bluetooth receiver available here on Amazon for INR 12.2K which is equally good, although not as flexible, versatile, or VFM as the FiiO device. So, unless these fundamental flaws are fixed – or the price is reduced to be on par with the aforesaid Bluetooth receivers that support LDAC – this cannot be called a “must-buy” product – or deserve a 5-star rating.

FOR WIFI STREAMING. TO INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER.
The media could not be loaded. I was searching for a WiFi streamer to connect to my Creek Evolution integrated amplifier for streaming Deezer, Spotify and radio paradise which I use. This one fits the bill .Did not want to go in for expensive bluesound node for now . Looked for WiiM , but not available in India. Suddenly this Auris Audify became available in Amazon India and I jumped for it. No regrets. Fully satisfied.Good sound. Getting it working needs some tinkering around. 4stream app which we have to use is just Ok.It reads 24/192 files but output , it seems , is only CD quality . Fair enough for the price.

Bang for the buck!
Ticks all boxes, Bluetooth, AptX HD, Airplay, analog inputs, USB playback, NAS drive access. I’m docking one star as they could have included a USB DAC at this price. Now that would have been perfect!!
