Used to hold down custom length 3/4" galvanized pipe to cut new threads. Worked great.

Does the Trick
This is is a must have home owner tool. I needed to thread some black iron pipe while installing a new hot water heater. This held the pipe securely. Just make sure it's you clamp it down good. Saved me hundreds of dollars not hiring a plumber.

Pipes and standard vices don't mix
This vice was the answer to keep material secure while cutting, welding, etc. It resolved a lot of frustration! So far, the build feels solid and does exactly what I need it to.

Great value
They aren't precision milled by any means, but for the price are fantastic for securing round stock and angle iron.

not assembled, casting flash is NOT removed you must drill, file, remove all excess metal
this vice came unassembled, casting flash not removed and a necessary bolt missing of which I had to provide after I assembled. looks as good as what they sell in bins at rummage sales

Pipe vise
It isn't big enough for 2-inch pipes.

Works but appeared to be a used item.
Works fine, mounted it to angle iron so it can be clamped into my bench vise. Only 4 stars due to:Poor packing; there were multiple chips and dings where the finish was missing and bare metal exposedNo instructions.Two of the assembly bolts were loose.The vise actually appeared to be a used item. If I did not have an immediate need, I probably would have returned it.
