Excellent Watch & Price!
I was very skeptical on what this watch would be like... When I received it in the post and opened it, my face lit up... It's so nice to look at, and is very durable... It's nice and chunky as well which I love... I hate small watches! Time keeping on this watch is also excellent... If you love analogue and digital together, then this is the watch for you.... The watch is perfectly packaged too, and the service/delivery is excellent... Will definitely be purchasing more G-Shocks from Amazon... Going to get a collection :) BUY THIS BAD BOY!

Just what i needed
I dont generally buy watches for their good looks or follow fashion as a whole, but this watch has both the good looks and is a follower of fashion. Its simple to use, easy to set up, yes i have to agree with many of the reviews i have read before i purchased, that the back light isnt on for long and that it is almost impossible to see the analogue time when in the dark (but thats why theres a back light on the digital clock). The strap is comfy, wide and feels good on my wrist. Apart from not wanting to take it off since it arrived, its a great watch, you just cant get any better. If i could put 10 stars then thats just what i would give.

highly recommended if you need something tough without all the BS
simply a fantastic watch, it does everything i need; i.e. tell me the time and date, be acurate and not fall apart when it gets whacked into things which frequently happens due to the nature of my job. doesn't have as many features as the more expensive models but for me they are completely unnecessary so no complaints in that regard. sadly i have lost mine so i intend to replace it with the exact same model, would recommend to anyone. only complaint is that it's a bit thick but it's a trade off i'm willing to make due to the sheer durability of the thing.

Reassuringly chunky!
I bought this watch because I do quite a physical job, and have broken a few watches by accidentally bashing them against things whilst at work, but this watch feels very rugged and has survived a couple of bashes already, and I've only had it a couple of weeks. The face and hands are clear and easy to read, as is the digital display when the hands aren't in the way. The LCD screen can show local time or date, with a dual time setting I think would be really useful on holiday or away travelling. It also has an alarm and stopwatch function and a backlight for the LCD, all of which are very intuitive to use.On to the niggles. Whilst I really like this watch, a few minor factors mean I can't give it 5 stars. The first being the strap. There are deep ridges in the strap near where it attaches to the main body of the watch. I find these rub against the bony part of my wrist, and I have to adjust where it sits quite often to keep it from getting uncomfortable. It also has no crown to set the hands, only a button to move them forward, which is set flush to the casing to avoid accidental adjustment. The problem is that holding this button down is quite painful on the fingertip, especially if you overshoot the current time and have to go all the way through 12 full rotations of the hands to get it right.Very good watch considering I got it for £55

my wife says that I am boring but I like it
This is the second of these watches that I have owned, my wife says that I am boring but I like it. After wearing my last one pretty much every day for ten years, and subjecting it to some rough treatment at times, my last one finally gave up. It still works, but the bulky outer coating cracked and came away. It's a great watch at a great price, the only flaw I have is when changing the time, as we will in a few weeks, you can only wind it forward and not backwards. So if the clocks go back or you are coming home from a foreign holiday where they are ahead, you need to wind it forward by holding in a small button, which is a bit of a faff.

The real deal (and at a bargain price of under £50 currently)!
I needed a cheap tough watch having decided I did not want a Smart data watch (Apple, Nike etc) for when I go rough bike riding. At under £50 this was my choice. Must admit this came when I was reading Chris Kyle's "American Sniper" book and he stated these watches were the standard issued product he always wore (though he does not state the specific model) which seemed recommendation enough as evidence of practical hard usage. Overall I am so happy with, that I now wear it nearly all the time as a casual watch and not just for bike riding!Very strong (especially bracelet, which is a fault of many competitors) and the choice of analog hand watch and light up digital watch are probably the two main features I use most. I suspect my use of the stopwatch and alarm will be very limited so cannot comment.Main personal tip is wear very loose on your wrist and you will hardly notice - too tight and the strap is tight on movement more than many comparable watches I found. Chose black as the most practical colour and no regrets and face is easily readable in most lights. If the battery really does last ten years claimed then I will be a very happy buyer!

A bit disappointing
We'll it looks great , though not as good as the ADVERTS pictures. The dial isn't as bright and legible (especially the red hour hand and the rear end of the minute hand sticks out a bit far so if you haven't got good lighting and good eyesight the it's not all as clear as it should be).The small digital display is a reverse image and often hard to see.The light only lights the digital display and not the dial ( at all ) , it would have helped it to do so.Setting the time is a nightmare, holding a tricky button in while the dial slowly moves round in forward only, so make a mistake and go past and you can't go back, gotta go around again ( I think twice , I'm now half a day out with regards to the calendar date changing , not sure if I can change it on the date or if gotta do the dial crap again, will look at another time ).It's such a shame, this watch should simply be better than it is. It just misses the mark on a few important points .Want to love this watch but finding it hard to even like.
