Solid Purchase but Save Yourself a Headache, do the work to check your disk
3TB Western Digital Blue Sata3 Internal Hard DriveThis is a reasonably priced internal hard disk from Western Digital. It's not commercially rated and but for desktop pc use and similar it will do fine, it should last far longer than you need it, providing you do the following:1. Buy it from a reputable seller, it should be "New" and not re-manufactured.2. Take care of the hard disk and mount it properly, dirt, shock, vibration and heat are known to cause immediate or premature disk failure3. Upon install ( windows 10) use your Disk management utility to ensure the new disk is recognised by Windows.4. Check your new hard disk for errors right away, lots of choices HD tune pro is not free software but you can get a functioning trial that will allow you to check the disk for errors.5. If you want to access the free Acronis true image software ( and other useful software too) visit the Western Digital website, you can get a free limited product that will work if you have a Western digital disc in your pc.6. If you bought your new WD Hard disk because you want to a bigger hard drive use the "Clone Drive" tool on Acronis True Image, once cloned ( after restart) it will automatically switch the name of your hard drive so that the pc will boot up from your new hard driveThe new drive is quiet enough, possibly a bit louder than the previous ( Toshiba) but definitely not noisy.LocalAdworks Website Optimisation Services

Excellent and Reliable Backup Drive Workhorse
Using this as secondary backup storage on own rig (self-built). It's good quality, and reliable (being WD, it seemed to usually be a given). It's sitting in the rig with a 128GB Samsung SSD for booting (holding just Windows 10 and the basics), and another WD (Blue) with just 1TB HDD, and the three of the, are getting along really well with no trouble.Have had this a few months, and I've had absolutely no trouble with it at all. It's been quite the life (well, data) saver. It's a little slow, obvious not as zippy as a faster rpm would allow but I'm not asking much of it, nor do I need extra-zippy rpm for what I'm using it for. It's a great backup HDD, but would obviously just recommend a decent SSD for anything that involves booting operating system as HDDs are just too slow for that. At the very least would need faster rpm for booting than this has.

Not in retail packaging - But well packaged
This drive is not a retail product (Amazon call it 'Standard Packaging' in the description. It comes in a brown cardboard box but the drive is sealed in an anti-static bag and this is encapsulated in plastic to hold it in-place in the box. This was then put inside a standard Amazon box. Mine arrived in one piece and is working OK so far (much quieter and gives me quicker transfer speeds than my old 1.5Tb WD Green dive I had).I assume it is OEM. Nothing really wrong with this and it is a very good price, but other reviewers say this does not give the same warranty (??)Let's hope this lasts as long as my old drive, which is still working, but too small for my use.

Been rather brilliant. Low price
Bought this as a replacement for a failed drive that ground to a halt after 4 years of working extremely hard. Been rather brilliant. Low price, high capacity, speed and reliability. I remember when a 200GB drive ripped £300 from your pocket. Things have come a long way.

Solid drive
First one i bought turned faulty after not much use - Amazon did a swap out, the next one was sent with no packaging and i was not allwoed to return. Such a fragile item should never be posted with only a freezer bag covering and to move about in the box. But, to be fair this drive has now been working for about a year now. Its about 1/2 full , runs silent and still doing what it should be doing!

Product broke after barely 2 weeks of use.
I was extremely disappointed with this product, but it may have been because of simple bad luck, I may have just received a faulty drive.I have bought several external Western Digital hard drives in the past and had no problems, so I expected this internal drive to be just as good. I installed it easily but noticed after installing Windows 7 that it was extremely slow to read files, it stuttered at first but I expected things to settle after installing updates. The stuttering got worse so I tried re-installing windows but the problems continued. Over the net couple of weeks the stuttering became worse to the point where my computer was freezing up for minutes at a time, making it almost impossible to work.Things got worse when it suddenly started telling me the drive was completely full, I could no longer save or install any new content even though in reality I only had roughly 10Gb of content on the 3Tb drive. Then after 2 weeks of being installed the drive refused to work at all. I have since purchased a 2Tb Seagate drive which appears to be working well so far.But as I stated at the beginning, my issues with this product may have been simple bad luck, as I have never experienced problems with Western Digital products before this.

Can’t Go Wrong With WD Products
We love Western Digital products for all of our digital storage needs! They are durable and last for ages. This model is quiet, and has great read/write speeds, even with big chunks of video files, etc. Buy nothing else, you can’t go wrong. We have over 21T in digital storage (internal & external), and only had one WD internal hard drive fail after about ten years of extensive daily use and abuse (even then we were able to recover most of the data, to store on the new drive). Brilliant! Can’t fault it. Did my research when I bought this product and always consider other brands, but always come back to WD and am never disappointed.

Great for backup. Good range of free backup tools from Western Digital
Performs absolutely as expected, 24x7. Recommend.Installed as an always-on backup drive with automated backup of several hard drives in Windows 10 PC, using WD's Smartware which runs in the background. WDMyCloud provides remote file access.

So far nice drives, quiet, no clicks, WD Blue are great speed for 5400rpm.
Just an update on this review for 4 drives i've been using for the last year or two.Currently using a two 1TB WD Blue 5400RPM Drives in RAID 0 for speed and extra space for games. Actually loads most types of games quickly and if a games files are stored in packed large files this load times are almost in par with a regular SSD and has been very useful when my ssds are full and need some extra space. Also very useful for video capturing in games having these in RAID0.Also using two 3TB WD Blue 5400 RPM drives in RAID 1 for mirror redundancy for extra safety for my regular PC non-OS files. RAID1 works great and is nice to have a constant backup of my files incase one drive did die unexpectedly. So I've been using these for around 2 years, no weird sounds, solid performance still.I'm liking what WD has done here with these drives, these are silent, and plenty fast enough for storage and backups.Only downside is these nice drives only have a 2 year warranty. I've dealt with WD before with RMA and its quick and they sent me a new HD each time, so I trust them with this. Just wish it was longer because they are obviously not gonna fail within warranty. They have a long warranty on the more expensive drives so its just a gamble and you get the cheaper drive and are on your own after those 2 years. But on the other hand, physical drives if they last a couple years usually mean they are solid asf and are gonna last 2-3x that.

Excellent
Perfect Drive For Home PC, I wished if it was 7200RPM drive though. But 5400RPM is also good considering you are not planning to install Windows or Games.

bon disque dur
