It's a simple little thing but it's helped me no end. All I wanted to do was record voice via an external mic from my Galaxy S4 and my Nexus 7 2013.My external mics both had the normal 3.5mm 3 ring heads on them (standard) and the phone/tablet neeed the 4 ring.This worked a treat when I plugged my mic into the adaptor and the adaptor into the phone or tablet. A simple fix that has taken me ages to find on the net. The headphone socket on the adaptor is useful too because you can hear the play back through the devices speaker when you've got something plugged into the devices headphone socket! A fiver well spent.

I mainly bought this so I could connect my SteelSeries Siberia V2 to my Xbox One using the Stereo Chat Adapter as the adapter is made for one single jack and the Siberia V2 has separate jacks for Mic and Audio. Needless to say it worked perfectly and I can now use my headset both for chat and the in game sounds.Price is a bit steep but you pay for the quality and they work just fine so I am very happy with the product and would advise anyone that wants to use the same headset on their Xbox One to get these over the dearer Headset Buddy ones.I've only had these for about a day so I can't vouch for how these fair in the long term but they are fine so far.

I bought this adapter to connect my SADES sa-708 gaming headset to my PS4 controller.Due to the PS4 controller only having one slot, i needed an adapter to connect my headset and speak to my friends in a party.The adapter is a very compact and neat design makes this product a practical solution to whatever you need it for.This is a very good adapter and works very well for what i need it for.One con for this product is the flimsyness of the cables and the wire work inside. One pull on the wires and the cable broke and was able to slide out of the socket and then i had to order another replacement.Overall a very good, useful product but can be a bit weak so be cautious with that.

It does work fine, exceptional, even. But the large box in which each cable goes into is extremely heavy, and with this, has worn down the cable, leaving it to only output through my right earphone unless I do a lot of fiddling and hold it in one place, which is hard while gaming. Be warned, this breaks easily.

This is a great piece of kit. It works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S3. I plug a clip on mic into the splitter, then plug the splitter into the headphone socket of the S3. It works perfectly with the default voice recorder app, but I found I got better results with 'TapeMachine Lite' app which is free and I can increase the input gain of the mic. I then bluetooth the tracks to my laptop where I sync it into my film footage. My movies now have perfect audio thanks to this little splitter! Awesome!

Dosnt work very disappointing, it's insanely complicated to setup, there are very little instructions and you need 3 more cables just to use it and even when you get it working you either can hear nothing through the game chat or its really quiet and people can't hear you.

I'm sorry, but the description of this product is misleading. It says that it works with an iPhone. Well, no. It does not. Not unless this company sent me a dud. This product caused me a great deal of distress when I tried to connect my iPhone to my Sennheiser AVX Combo. When I tried to use my audio equipment, all I heard was a horrible thumping noise that ruined my day. I assumed that either the iPhone was the problem or the Sennheiser audio equipment was the problem. I ruled out the Sennheiser AVX and this product when I discovered that everything worked perfectly when using several types of Samsung Galaxy phones. I took a day off work to try and get to the bottom of it, taking my new iPhone 7 Plus to the nearest Apple store. Myself and the assistant tried connecting the audio equipment, using this product, with half a dozen different iPhones, ALL of which made the SAME horrible noise. So we knew that the Sennheiser audio was working. We knew that this adapter was working (with the Samsung products, etc..) and we knew that all the iPhones were not working. There was only one thing for it - try a different TRS to TRRS adapter. That I did. I bought a RØDE SC4 TRS to TRRS adapter, connected it to the Sennheiser AVX Combo and the iPhone, and everything worked an absolute dream. So, after much hassle, I basically isolated everything down to THIS PRODUCT. I am giving this product two stars because it does work well with the Samsung products. But it does need to be clearly stated that it is NO GOOD with the iPhone. I am over £90 out of pocket because of this product. £80 for the day off work and £11 for the product that is no good to me. If anybody is reading this and has an iPhone, GET THE RØDE SC4 TRS to TRRS ADAPTER.

I bought a lapel mic quite some time ago to use with my laptop but wanted to use it with my Samsung Galaxy Note II. I couldn't get it to work and so after a bit of research realised the lapel mic wasn't as good as I thought it was because the 3.5mm connector was only a 3 pole one and not a 4 pole one as required by most mobile devices. Bought this little splitter/adapter (mainly because it was white and matched my phone!) and it worked straight away. I know it's only a simple unit but I get great sound recording on my Galaxy Note II now. Better than on my laptop!

My new PC just has the combined mic/spkr jack (how much money did they save by that?) So I bought this to break it out to two sockets. It works fine!

Funciona perfectamente, los materiales se ven resistentes y de buena caliadad. aunque la Marca StarTech no es la mejor ya que otros adaptadores que he comprado de ésta marca me han salido defectuosos... pero en éste articulo si se ve y funciona mejor de lo que esperaba.
