Really good, lovely satisfying 'clunk' when you close the door
Really good, lovely satisfying 'clunk' when you close the door, the nib is really handy if I don't want to go to the trouble of using the key to close the deadlock of a day, paired it with a chrome sliding door latch do I can check who is at the door before opening. Really nice looking, we have a period door (original) Edwardian and looks lovely and neat and in keeping with much more expensive traditional nickel-style front door furniture on the front of it, I think though it would look equally well on a modern front door as well with the square shape and rounded edges, as it is very simple and classy. Highly recommend.

Not fit for purpose
Bought this to replace an old Yale lock, which looked a bit tatty after painting the door. The old lock is a Yale as branded on the unit. It is solid and heavy. By comparison the new lock is unbranded, (the name Yale only appears on the packaging, ( it is usually stamped on the key entry face plate. As you can see from the photo, it is not.) it is flimsy and lightweight. At best it is gold coloured aluminium. It most certainly is not solid brass. So it's probably a Chinese copy and not worth even one star. The packaging is ridiculous and impossible to open without destroying it so it cannot be used again. There is also the risk of personal injury. I cut myself with the knife I was using to try and cut through the plastic. (It's moulded plastic, what is wrong with a cardboard box?) so, I'm afraid it's going back.Having taken wire wool to the old one, it has shined up beautifully. I may leave it as it is, or spray paint it white to blend in with the door.

You really do get what you pay for.
I needed a night latch with 60mm clearance. I thought I could not go wrong with a trusted brand like Yale. The whole thing is very low quality and the mechanism is not smooth. I wouldn’t buy this again. I will also be emailing Yale to express my disappointment in the quality of the product.

Seem to be good value for money.
I liked this product and it was at a good price. Using for front door when I finish decorating.
